You put your sweat, money and time into your project. It turned out the way it has because of your hard work and planning. It's awesome to see how you did your project and share it with the viewers. I'm not on comments here, to criticize other people who may have great or poor construction experience. I will say, however, for the knowledge of the viewers watching a few things that could be done right. The adhesive is most likely doing 1/3 the thing that it's supposed to do. When you pay close attention to wall studs, any boards for that matter, they have bowing in them naturally. You put the 2x4 on the wall, but only top and bottom of it touches wall. You could've screwed a 2x4 on the top 1/3 of the board, kick plate it to the floor to press top and bottom middle in to hold board in against container wall. And as far as doing this on each down the length of container, a container dimensions inside is 7'8". So minus 3", 7' 5 1/2", would let you wedge the board in against the opposite board just as easily or few hammer taps. Using these two or 4 spare 2x4s and kicker screwdown plate would expedite the process. I know containers get extremely hot or cold and can form condensation. So if anyone is interested in investing time, you glue the studs to the outer most ribs and it will make a space between the studs to install 1 1/2" foam insulation board panels. This will keep you cooler in summer and much warmer in winter. You spend time in the container using it as a workshop area, might as well stay cool. Obviously this requires using the tape on the panel seams. And doing this also gives you options to sheet the ceilings and walls with green board drywall or OSB sheets or whatever. Like I said, if you invest money in a project, it is important not to have it fall apart with overlooked errors. It's not fun doing projects twice or spend double the money in costs. All I am trying to say is great job, thanks for sharing your experience. 👍😉🇺🇲

1. For those wanting 'Americano' style coffee vs the stronger European espresso/latte, you can always add hot water to weaken it. 2. The portafilter only needs to be firmly tightened. You don't need to crank it all the way in. 3. He put too much coffee in the portafilter. There should be a bit of a gap at the top after tamping. Putting too much coffee in will make it hard to tighten.

I am wonder how are temperatures inside during the winter and summer?
@usmcgunz1066Ай бұрын
Well, here in south MS winters are really not an issue. Summers on the other hand are brutally hot and humid here. This blue container that I built the shelves in is right against the tree line. It stays shaded pretty well which helps a lot with the heat. So it’s not too bad in it until July through late August. Everything is hot then. I have since purchased a second container and where it sits is not shaded. It is definitely hotter in that one. I did add a solar fan to it and that helps a little. But it’s no miracle. Anyway, thanks for watching and commenting.

Do you have condensation in your shipping container
@usmcgunz1066Ай бұрын
I know it can be an issue but fortunately I haven’t had any condensation issues. I recently bought a second 40’ container. I installed a solar fan in it, but that was mostly to draw the heat out of it. Thanks for watching.
@user-yf4ii1hs2sАй бұрын
Do you have a video on how to install a solar fan. Where did you purchase it……thanks
@usmcgunz1066Ай бұрын
I don’t have a video. But I will post a link below to the solar fan I’m using. It’s a 20 watt panel with two fans that attach to it. I am currently only using one of the fans. I got the idea from the people who I bought the container from. They tried to upsell me on a $500 solar roof fan. But I didn’t want any penetrations in my roof…and I didn’t want to spend an extra $500 either. 😬 Anyway, what I did was drilled out the corner vent on the container just big enough for the fan/solar cable connector to fit through. I ran the cable through that hole and placed the solar panel on top of the container and I mounted the fan inside so it hangs over the vent holes. Ideally, I want one fan on one corner sucking fresh air in and one on the opposite corner blowing out. The cables on this fan are not long enough to span that distance. So I’m just using one of the fans for now. I hope this helps. The link for fan is posted below. That fan has been running non-stop for the past 3 months or more without issues. pqins 20W Solar Powered Fan,... www.amazon.com/dp/B0C61MW9DX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

@usmcgunz1066Ай бұрын
The assembly instructions recommend using the 2nd hole as a starting point. For me, with it in the second hole, the bit would slightly drag the ground. So I moved it up to the first hole. Doesn’t drag now.

Were you ever able to get it to stop spreading? We have some problem that was planned on property during 1950s
@usmcgunz10662 ай бұрын
The subsoiler slowed the spread of it some but definitely wasn’t a miracle worker. Wife and I were snipping away at the new growth earlier today. It’s a constant battle. Going to try something different on it next weekend. Going to find and snip several of the running roots. Then going to put a couple drops of concentrated herbicide in each side of the snipped root. We’ll see how that goes. 🤷🏻♂️

The glue was planned to be temporary. The work bench is locked into place between the sidewall ribs. Same with the shelves but additionally the opposing shelves are braced against each other, locking them into place. I think I showed and explained that in the last video in the series. how many feet of base plate can you remove at one time? Since it is holding up the roof I am thinking no more than 36" (two studs) ? or did you build a temp wall to support the ceiling roof?
@usmcgunz10663 ай бұрын
I didn’t have more than one “floating stud” at a time. I believe the longest run of base plate I replaced at a time was no more than 30”. If I were to have 2 or more “floating studs”, I would’ve added some sort of temporary support. Thanks for watching and commenting!

My machine is brand new but when I hit the cappuccino button it doesn’t froth. I left the milk container in the fridge over night. Do you have any recommendations?
@usmcgunz10667 ай бұрын
My only guess - and you’ve probably already tried this - is to make sure you have your milk reservoir filled to max fill line and the knob on the reservoir is set your desired froth level (not on “clean” setting). Also make sure reservoir is pushed completely into position. FWIW - I have found that a full milk reservoir gives me better/more froth than one with less milk. Hope this helps. And thanks for watching!
@sockowe12097 ай бұрын
Thank god. You’re the only video that explains the manual froth on the damn thing. I’ve done it before, but haven’t used the machine in like a year. I went to go make a cup of tea and wanted some froth in it. I forgot how I did it. So I searched, and nothing. Finally stumbled on your video, and you confirmed my suspicions. Hold down the damn froth button.🙄 Now I can get back to making my tea on the side and just adding some froth. Thank you.

@usmcgunz10668 ай бұрын
The L brackets I used were only for attaching the “legs” to the floor. Under the framing for each shelf I have 2x3 blocking to support them (see 11:10 - end of video) . This makes them quite sturdy. I would guess each individual shelf could hold 300 lbs or more. Hope this helps. And thanks for watching and commenting.

Super job & video. I'm working on the same project but 20' container. Watched many vids on the topic, and you're the 1st & only that has shown how to fasten studs to container with the adhesive approach. That's my plan, to avoid penetrating the skin of a watertight vessel ( ex-Navy, and can't see putting unnecessary holes in the hull!!! 12:45 ). Good detail on what's to me, the critical step in the process. Thank you, and thanks to your photographer for asking the question of what adhesive (earlier in the series) you're using!
