thank you for video! may you help me with writing my fx settings to the memory? in order i could switch on/off loopstation and find my settings.
@thepoofster22513 күн бұрын
You can create a starter patch to achieve that. Just set up all your effects banks the way you like them, and write it without any audio recorded. You can then use it and save it to a different patch number when you are finished

@matthewpark34355 күн бұрын
you can save a preset to a different memory bank (i don’t know the exact word but it’ll be when you scroll through them) you can prep one with all the presets you want and save it to a bunch of other ones in advance by writing the memory and scrolling the knob to a different number

I gotta ask. Is there anyway to makes effect presets. As in ar every new track i hsve a bank with premade settings

Does anyone know how to set the delay automatically according to the adjustet pace (speed)? At the moment it seems like i allways have to adjust it manually, which is not easy at all. Every other machine is able to serve a perfect delay preset, set trough master clock, or tabbing. Please i need help!! :D
@thepoofster2251Ай бұрын
The time setting in delays has a "sync by note" feature, you just need to jog the dial all the way past 1ms. It's a bit of a dumb way to set it up but that's what Boss decided was best hahahaha! Hope this helps!

For more realistic 808 bass with a slight attack, try hpf 0 0 96 (increase resonance to make the note last longer) low cutoff for the note, lofi 1 0 50, lpf 0 0 0 14

Is there any way to sync delay to bpm?
@thepoofster2251Ай бұрын
Yes, it's the "rate" parameter on the delay. If you select a note value (like eighth note) it will feedback at that rate which is based off the tempo

I just do hpf, low eq, high eq, and a short reverb. I liproll with hpf with resonance of 90, cutoff 10 for a sub bass. Super quick super easy :) super important to learn inward kick and snare tho.
@thepoofster2251Ай бұрын
That's a good setup also! Double eq is an interesting choice but the more control the better! Thanks for the view and comment!
@blujayplays1Ай бұрын
So, im just wondering, why the double EQ? You can change the level of the highs with the same EQ Also, you can use a sustainer which I love pairing with kicks. and you can add highs there as well. I would love to hear the reasoning!
@Justinw0Ай бұрын
Don't recommend putting reverb on the kick because it can easily mud up the mix
@PrinceKoopa.Ай бұрын
LOL they’re not all on at the same time, first I use the low eq, then I use hpf with the low eq for the sub bass. Then turn those off and then use the high eq for two snares, then a weaker snare with the reverb. One thing I’m missing is snare variety like a snare with osbot or a lofi snare everyone is doing, gonna have to try those out soon. But no not doing all those effects at the same time ofc that doesn’t make sense
@PrinceKoopa.Ай бұрын
Also eq is definitely better than dynamics, sustainer I never liked it just made everything louder in the wrong places with my mic, eq gives ultimate control, definitely try out the sub bass I mentioned, hpf with 70 resonance instead of 90, rate and depth to 0, lets you just do a kick with the eq and it just makes a bassy kick. I’d start doing that tbh but I like the way my kick sounds with 2 different layers.

You know why my tempo is automatically changing?
@thepoofster22512 ай бұрын
@@rohanthomas030 I'm not exactly certain unless you upload a vid for me to see what's happening, however, there is a common tempo related thing which may be tripping you up. when your mk2 is idle (not playing any tracks) there is a tempo you can select, but it can change when you create your first loop. This is the important part: If you record your first loop WITHOUT the rhythm section playing, the tempo will be changed to match the length of your first loop. If the rhythm section IS playing the loop will be set to the tempo which you have programmed. Try setting your rhythm section to just a click, set the tempo before recording your first loop, and have it playing during the recording of the first loop. After this you can turn it off and your tempo will remain steady until you change it using the TAP TEMPO button. It's a bit weird at first but as you get more familiar with looping, you will find use cases for both methods of setting tempo. It should also be noted that anything which is sending a midi tempo signal through your MIDI IN port will usually take over as the main tempo, but if you don't have anything plugged into that port then you don't need to worry about it. Hope this helped and if it didn't, upload a video of your issue and link it here. I will take a look, cheers!

Sick!! What effect combo did you use to creath the synth/pluck at 1:10 ??
@thepoofster22512 ай бұрын
The sound is Oscbot > reverb > delay. It sounds plucky due to the vocal trigger, which is just quick vocal note done with a glottal stop. The 2 variations are produced by 2 different Oscbots with different notes, but the same settings. Delay is set to dotted quarters, oscbot is a square, and reverb is set to taste. Thanks for the view!
