Do you think the travel height and distance is affected by the payload? I wonder if I could deliver a pizza with box which would be about 400 grams to friends in the near area, let's say 1-2 kilometers and needed height will be about 50 meters max.

my mini 2 got stuck in the stadium light (120ft above ground), I can see the drone but there is no one can help me to rescue the drone. I was wondering if another Mini 2 can attach a fishing string and rescue the one that got stuck?

I wouldn’t push over 250 grams with the DJI mini 2 , you could get burnout in the motors because the have to work so hard to hold the weight , I have a 35 gram drop system for my DJI Mini 2 that works well over a mile up & mind you I’m a 107 pilot here in the U.S. . I ve dropped stuff from my drone & yes it’s way cool to do , I have a friend the lives Nextdoor to me who bough a R.C. Skydiver that’s 200 grams & it’s cool to see this this thing glide down back to earth & he can control every aspect of this thing , it has mini servos in it to control its every move & that’s cool just because he can control it making it to were he can fly it & land anywhere , I drop it & watch it go from the camera on my drone , their are guys out there that drop bunches or these things from R.C. Aircraft & it’s way cool to see in real life . The one very cool thing me & my Nextdoor neighbor do with our kids is I strap a mini Nerf vortex whistling football to my drone & I,ll take it up to 400 feet & drop it & both of our kids try to catch it , it’s very hard to do because at 400 feet you can’t hear or see were the drones at & you can’t see the football because it’s so small , at about 200 feet you can hear the footballs incoming whistle & start to see it & by then it has reached its terminal velocity & it’s very fast & hard to catch & very loud & being its Nerf , it doesn’t hurt if you get hi by it , very fun to do .

I have a problem that whenever I lower the bottom stick, it goes to home land, can anyone solve this problem for me?

I hit 91 grams worth of lights on a mini 2 and it went into payload mode automatically. Limits the drone to like 100 feet. I don’t know where the thread hold is for when it does this. I’m guessing it can tell how fast the props are spinning to stay level or rise and by that determines the weight it’s carrying. I put 91 grams in based on what the lights weighed, the rig I had them on and the few pieces of Velcro. It is impressive. I know after landing after carrying 91 grams the entire drone was hit… battery and parts of the body. Everything got hot. It also made the battery drain really fast. A full healthy battery hit 20% after like 8 minutes.

Glad this worked for you. I just crashed my Air 2S after a signal loss this morning, which is what led me to your video. It most certainly did NOT return to home. I just verified that the advanced failsafe setting was set to RTH. Instead it descended and crashed into a tree below. Looks like a total loss...

Sorry in advance if I missed it but I’m searching the internet looking for an answer…. My mini 2 kicks into payload mode automatically when I have too much weight on (lights etc). Is there a way to bypass that? Even if I shut it off it comes back on. Side note… anyone upping the weight be careful of overheating and prop over speed. After a heavy flight remove the battery right away and let it sit for 30 minutes before trying to charge it hot

I’ve been asking everyone and no one replies but has anyone else got the propeller rotating too fast error when using the drop mechanism? I don’t even have a payload just the device and so,e times the error comes up and if I select payload mode its fine but I’m limited to 100 ft or so. Sometimes it’s fine though so it’s just here and there and I’ve already swapped out propellers.

Did you put it into payload mode. It makes a difference if you did or didn't

Murcia and their laws limited drone to fly in sight. Wtf. That means we are able to fly only in our back yard or small space. Time to move out of Murcia. Lol

44S for 4% battery lost with 538g, so 1100s for its theory max distance, 550s if you want it go home, maybe flying higher make the loss more rapidly...

Great flight a lot of people choose not to just fly VLOS or otherwise they would just be flying around in their back yards. I have been flying since 2014 I was one of the first 100 people to register with the FAA when it first became a requirement. When I first started flying drones like the xk detect x380 there were no VLOS rules. And the primary reason for flying drones was being able to fly a few miles away and inspect property and equipment. I still do my range testing and I always fly below 400 feet and I use flight radar to verify position of manned aircrafts you can still fly responsibly beyond VLOS and if you have ever used goggles to fly FPV then your definitely not flying VLOS the best way to do range testing is have about 5 friends as spotters every half mile away or so. That covers VLOS so you can fly 5 miles away as long as someone has visual of the drone.

Can you please do the same test for Air 2S or Air 2?
