The comparison makes no sense to me BECAUSE: - orange juice is a bad example. surely it's one of the most consumed fruit juices in the world. but it is a highly hybridized fruit with an overload of fructose (and less glucose that is easier on digestion) - a vitaminized coke would have ARTIFICIAL vitamins that'd come without cofactors of the natural fruit to put more ease on digestion - a FRESH pressed juice that is not highly strained has FIBRES that help to reduce spike in blood sugars - if you go back to human evolution... many great ape meals include aside to the fruit young leaves often of the same tree (fibres and bitter components). I'd bet if one consume fruits like that and MOVE your body afterwards you have not these CIVILIZATION life style caused problems❗ we're just living too far from nature nowadays. And many nutrition Docs don't get that, trying to help others with semi truths that LACK of consequent, final end rational thinking by the means of nature.

Jessie! You are such a heaven-sent! It's been 2 months since I've learned about you. I've read your book and listened to a lot of your interviews. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your hacks are easy to follow and I have already turned them into habits just like brushing teeth. The immediate effects for me since I started doing the hacks were I have lost the snacking-in-between-meals (10 am and 3pm snack time) and I can go on the day easily for 4-6 hours after a meal, without having to snack or without feeling like I'm about to die if I won't snack. I have shared about you to my friends and family as well. Please keep doing what you're doing! 😊

The ego of humanity is that we think we’re what’s best for the world, when in fact the world was better off without us. Even now we’re claiming we made these fruits and vegetables better. And yet, obesity is rampant, malnutrition despite large food intake is rampant, illness is rampant. And we don’t think the manipulation of one of our core food groups into a fiber and nutrient reduced sugar ball isn’t a contributing factor? Darwinism.

this idea that selective breeding/artificial selection isn’t natural is pseudohistorical and actually in some circles could be described as straight up racist. Our brain capacity to selectively breed is natural, and the transition from hunter-gatherer culture to agriculture some 10,000 years ago was marked by the first deluge into the territory of selective breeding. Should we get rid of anesthesia or the pill?

Ok that all sugars are the same molecule- but surely there must be a difference in the amount of calories for each different sugar?

Seed-full bananas still exist in Java island, but they're bigger. Sweeter but full of seeds, stronger leaves and perfect for traditional snacks wrapping. Unripe fruit of this variety is an important ingredient to make rujak (traditional Javanese salad)
