To make this easier for you put those bearings in the freezer for about an hour.... then put the two halves of the crankcase in an oven or even out in the sun if you live in a warm climate for around 30 minutes or so not a lot of heat Maybe 150 to 200 degrees if you're using an oven... the bearing will just slide it right in no tools required just tap it in with your rubber hammer and I do mean tap you will not have to hit it hard it should slide right in with your fingers if you got a glove on

My teeth wore out quick. I'm gonna order one but this time heat treat & temper it. Like I did my rear sprocket which has same mileage as front sprocket but has no major wear yet. All you need is propane torch or Mapp gas & simple heat treat/temper instructions. They bother to heat treat them in China in order to keep manufacturing down + u end up buying another one sooner. Just thought 💭 It'd be a good idea to heat treat the puller tool also.

Also, what engine did you purchase for your motor bike? In your video you were talking about how you upgraded the carburator? Can you please provide more information on that? TIA!
@BicycleMotorsports
@BicycleMotorsports Жыл бұрын
I have a CNC Billet aluminum motor on there now that I assembled myself with balanced cranks and upgraded clutch. However the carburetor I upgraded to was a Mikuni vm18 clamp on carburetor. Just below is a link. I purchased it from treats. If you check out some of my other videos You'll see the carburetor www.treatland.tv/mikuni-vm-18mm-p/mikuni-18mm-vm-round-slide.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQjw_viWBhD8ARIsAH1mCd6SBWvJkXb7ErgKipjgGpxD4ccCKSHxfSAVh_uyXRm5WiMerx2Np8IaApHdEALw_wcB

What kind of setup do you have?
@BicycleMotorsports
@BicycleMotorsports Жыл бұрын
When upgrading to this type of carburetor just know it's a little more complex than the stock carburetors that come with these motors. You might have to tweak it with the jetting and fuel intake and in some cases the fuel float. I've made a few videos addressing the aforementioned.
@BicycleMotorsports
@BicycleMotorsports Жыл бұрын
You're also going to need an 18 mm intake manifold for the motor to match up with the upgraded carburetor
@BicycleMotorsports
@BicycleMotorsports Жыл бұрын
Here's a link to another video I did on a sprocket removal and you can see in the video the reed valve setup that I have that the Mikuni carburetor would connect to. The Reed valve will help immensely with fuel blowback into the carburetor which can mess up the fuel to air mixture ratios and cause fuel leaking out of the carburetor onto the bike frame. I recommend a reed valve. you might have to change the carburetor jetting. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gryXobiXuNW1e6s.html

In your case I don’t think replacing it was worth it, in about 3 months or less you’ll have the same play in it. Ride it until it tells you something is wrong by puking it’s guts out or screaming.

Your also supposed to add a lubricant preferably grease to lubricate the threads on the Clutch Gear Puller to prevent any cross threading and to make smooth contact with threads.

For anybody that watched him install that bearing. Please, never ever ever ever ever install a bearing into a case by pushing or pulling on the inner race. Use the old bearing, or better yet a bearing installer tool, and apply only pressure to the outer race. Pushing/pulling on the inner race will distort the cage and potentially shorten bearing life.
