Haha ya!! At least I didn't have to worry about the length of wires for gauge calculations!! Parasitic!! There it is thank you! Haha I bet they can! Already wishing I could've got a little bit bigger inverter in there!!

@DMSAdventures 2 tips for the next build. On you big wires. Always hook up the non powered sides first. No risk of shorts that way. 2nd tip. Harbor freight sales composite ratchets for dirt cheap. All I use now. For electrical work they are insulated so no chance of sparks from the handle. Great job on the build. Makes me want to redo mine the right way and clean up my wiring.

@ambohouse Ya I saw alot of youtubers mentioning electrically safe tools and I was like... im already buying thirty different kinds of crimping tools, expensive copper wires, lugs, connectors... I drew the line at replacing tools I already had with safer ones! I only got a nasty spark once and it was because I had to disconnect and redo things. I had forgotten there was still a hot connected and BAM!! Luckily didn't damage anything though!!
@ambohouse
@ambohouse 3 күн бұрын
@@DMSAdventures those rachets are super cheap. And what I use for everything these days. Best 20.00 I think ever. I like them better than both my snap on and Mac ones.

This is so crazy and pretty satisfy to watch. But no way you’ll see me doing this. How the heck did you fit all those wires in those small holes. Impressive. Seeing the fails makes it satisfying when it works. What happens if someone asks you to create one for them. You may have started a new business 😃
@DMSAdventures
@DMSAdventures 3 күн бұрын
Haha its certainly not a project for everyone. I would probably make a few for friends and such if they wanted. It'd probably be more fun when I'M not the one spending all the money. But I don't think I'd enjoy it as a business. I actually enjoyed solving the problems and troubleshooting why it didn't work with the fans. Wire management is key so the tabs on the box were a great asset to the build. I was telling a friend that when I was looking for how to do this on KZfaq I wanted/needed more in depth info than what I was finding so I was always hesitant to cut something from the video cause I was afraid it would be the one thing someone wanted to know about... thats how you end up with a half hour video!!!

We have the T4 and transport ours (if hubs (6'4") doesn't carry it in like a backpack/strapped on each shoulder) to the site in a wagon. I'm wondering if the extended skirt (which everybody says that the footprint should not extend underneath & out) channels water and gathers at the base. We like that the tent poles are inclusive. For the gazebo, I've seen people use it without the poles & use it as a tent. But the bottom is sold separately. We love our Gazelle tent, but the 'ties' are a little annoying (compared to a toggle). Thanks for the video
@DMSAdventures
@DMSAdventures 3 күн бұрын
Maybe they should start building in wheels with the bags like our Eurmax Canopy!! That'd make transport easier I think! No, the skirt is not acting like a footprint. It's shedding water away from the base a few inches much like a rain fly. Yes if you got the footprint you would increase the functionality of the G6 and have more options in using it. I think it works function great as a tent. I figured out the tires a little bit and they're not a bad but I still prefer toggles. Thanks for watching!! 🤜 🤛

Beautiful Informative, Detailed & Straightforward Review. Thank you 🙏 Brother. We are looking to get our second canopy. The value & versatility is just hard to beat for $248. We have a van 🚐 & this set up is just perfect with all the 4 included walls Etc. Plus it stands alone. MoonShade was another option for $600. It’s more portable but less durable & doesn’t stand alone & doesn’t include any walls for the $600 price tag. Just too hard to justify paying more & getting less with the XL MoonShade vs. the Eurmax Canopy. Thank you 🙏 again

Why would aluminum legs be better and more expensive than steel ones? I imagine aluminum will buckle a lot easier than steel.
@DMSAdventures
@DMSAdventures 9 күн бұрын
I believe it has to do with aluminum weighing much less than steel. The strength to weight ratio is better with aluminum perhaps. I'd have to dig into the numbers to be 100% sure.

I bought one a few weeks ago and the workmansip and design is great except for that piddly little top cover which is far too small to prevent rain puddling on the top, so I made a bigger top cover out of a spare bit of tent material and use clothes pegs to hold it in place. PS- The tent is much too heavy for hiking or cycling, you need a motorbike or vehicle to move it. Oh, and disassembling the tent took me a long time to do it, I needed 3 hands..:)
@DMSAdventures
@DMSAdventures 15 күн бұрын
I agree with you on that too cover! It's a waste of time to put it on I think! I would never dream of hiking with it... unless there was a campsite a couple hundred yards in our less. Gray is making a larger top cover!! 👏

I appreciate what you did here.
