Because the shock mount is built-in to the mic holder, really any standard mic stand will work fine. I've used mine with boom arms, straight stands, desktop stands and adjustable arms. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

I use Zenfolio for the my gallery hosting. When I was setting things up, they were the only service that offered really solid database processing for large galleries where I needed to send individual emails with password protection. With Zenfolio you can connect to a number of print labs (I use Millers). Clients can access their images through Zenfolio and then you set up print packages they can order that are then fulfilled by Millers. Honestly both Zenfolio and Millers have their shortcomings, but the system works and I've not seen any reason to change. Hope that helps.Thanks for the kind words and for watching!

While I've never had one of my Flashpoint/Godox flashes fail me, I still carry 4 AD200s and one AD400 Pro on every shoot along with charged batteries for all, chargers, and a power strip. One of the first things I do is set up a charging station with batteries on it. I also carry additional SD cards, a 32 ounce water bottle, and copious amounts of salty snacks. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!

Ha - I know I responded to this already, but I mis-read it. You said backDROP light, I read backUP light. Obviously no, I control the tone on my backdrop by the angle of my key light and the distance between the backdrop and the keylight. Again, hope that helps! Thanks for watching.

I have a question sir. What do you do to children that are not comfortable with camera or getting spot light, no matter how you make them feel comfortable, especially if a child has a special needs. Its really hard because some parents are expecting unrealistically. I hope Im making sense. thanks in advance.
@MattSpaugh
@MattSpaugh 2 ай бұрын
There is only so much you can do. Obviously, trying to be up-beat and energetic can help. I try to approach them on their level - not standing up and towering over them if that makes sense - and just talk to them before taking any photos. Another tip I got long ago was take a LOT of photos and keep talking. You never know when something you say might get a good reaction. I always ask about things that I think might make them relax: pets, favorite foods, vacation trips, etc. Hope that helps, thanks for watching.

I'm not sure what "LUT" means. Please do tell...
@MattSpaugh
@MattSpaugh 2 ай бұрын
LUT is short for "Look Up Table". When you shoot your footage using a Log profile (in my case Sony S-Log3) a LUT is applied to the footage when editing to add color and contrast. You can think if it like a filter although it's doing much more than that.

Very interesting to see your usage of broad lighting here. My instinct is always to go for short lighting for portraits. Is there a reason for your choice, or is it more of a "I just like the way this looks better" sort of thing?
@MattSpaugh

I short light adults and broad light kids. In my experience, many younger subjects, have a tendency to turn their faces away from the light. Broad lighting them helps to reduce that tendency. Great question - thanks for watching!

@@MattSpaugh I checked mine out today and they don't have the wiggle. They are just the S8's though. Felt like there was one single person who provides customer support and fixes things.
