Great review! I still think that just listening to the turf and ball strike, the 241’s are the ones, up to the 6 and maybe the 5 iron. You’re perfect with the 245 4 iron. Wonderful ball striking. Earlier this year I ordered a 6 iron in the 923 tour. I wore out a set of 919’s but now playing Miura TC 201’s. I always order an 8 and a 6 iron to my specs and play them instead of the current model in my bag. I love the 923’s for size but that offset drives me crazy! I know, short drive😊 Anyway, they are an excellent iron and plenty forgiving but a notch down From the 241’s because of the offset. Why not order a 241 and a 243 and see which one wins? Thanks Again for the review - well done!

@@dannyv3098 Appreciate the support Danny! I always look at lofts in terms of filling an 11 club gap between your driver and highest lofted wedge. Usually the issue with bending a club (mainly short irons) strong is you create too big of a gap in your wedges. That said, if the gapping works out in the wedges and you don’t have too much of a yardage congestion in your longer clubs, I think it’s totally fine.

Just saw your video from 3 months ago and I really enjoyed it. I have played blades for 30 + years and am currently playing my original P7TW's (since Dec 2021) . I play P7MB PW, P7TW 9-4 all with DG 120 x100 shafts bent 1 deg flat with stock lofts (P7TW 9-7 and 5&6 are great, the 4 is a 50-50 club for me). The thing I learned about these P7TW 9-7 iron clubs is you have to force yourself to come in at at steeper descent than you normally think appropriate for a blade of this type assuming turf is not extra soft or wet. The mill grind sole helps so the chunks are not nearly as chunky as you might expect. Plus they are like a scalpel for control - high, low, right, left. Probably the best blade I have ever played. For what it's worth, I also had a set of 2021 P7MC's and I played them for about 2 months. Too much stuff going on in the P7MC for my liking so I got rid of them. Keep up the great content! Cheers.

As much as I love my p790, I really wish I had a better fitter. I was thrown 6-7 different brands, ranging from players to distance. I learned on butter knife irons 25 years ago. Because of that I don’t do well with chunky clubs. If nothing else I’m certain I could have gone all 770s, or probably a 770/ MC split or even 790 4-5, 770 6-7, MC 8-PW. I guess the only good thing is I can easily switch it up

I got fitted 3 months ago and my top two performing of the 6 I was handed were the 923 forged and the p790. I ultimately went the 790s because I’ve always had TM clubs, but I absolutely loved the 923. Had I went into it without knowing what I was handed and went with feel and numbers, I probably would have went with the 923s. Such an awesome club and I wish my fitter was a bit better, cause I was handed clubs from players to players distance. I probably should have gone with a combo set. Atleast in regards to the TM, I easily could have gone 790/770 or even 770/P7MB or MC. I do better with narrow clubs, I feel even my 790s are way to wide for me. Thanks for the comment! I don't have club speed numbers with the 2/3 irons unfortunately, but last time I looked at driver I was around 116-118 MPH. Because the Fli-Hi is so easy to launch, it's possible I would match my iron shafts and go a little heavier/softer. That said, if I was looking for it to be more of a driving style club, I'd actually likely consider the Srixon with a lighter/stiffer graphite option (I find this head lower launch). What is your current driver swing speed and what shaft are you liking in that club at the moment? Or if you aren't in love with the driver shaft, what iron shafts are you liking at the moment?

@@TheEquipmentJunkie I'm just under the 100 since Ive gone to a shorter back swing, I have an older XXIO 9.5 with a 45g S ,( I'm looking to go to a 55-60g with an X S but having said that, This driver got me the longest drive win 3 years in row, the last one was in Feb this year, at Cape shanck, Vic Australia, 13th hole on that day was playing at 310m, it rolled onto the green. I did go Full on swing, Just on that hole, had a point to prove. I've also just bought an Epic max with 60g S, I get more forgiveness but I'm not sure about distance now that it's winter. 3 wood is an old Tour E Bazooka HT max D with a 65R extra inch longer, Hard to replace,This bloody thing is crazy, best I've hit this was 288m, ye great roll, bit of a wind assist, but the best baby draw. Don't normally carry a driver in winter here because of this 3 wood. and because of this I've picked up at least 6 3 woods to find one that is better and to possible replace my driver all together, no luck yet, even bought the Krank 3wood 13* again, winter is hard to get big numbers while playing in damp fairways and 12-15c(53-60F) Bazooka is still in the bag. the Srixon Z785 5 Iron with the 105 steel. =180m . I also have an old Callawy XL 5Iorn with a 130g S Shaft, that bumps it up to 200m hoping the Fli Hi 2 can give me the 220m I need to get on the par 5's in two.

I been thinking about trying one of these putters, but my EVNROLL ER11v has been performing so well I just can’t seem to get to it. Plus I hear they are pretty pricey!

I prefer my 2 Evnrolls (5.1 & ev12) better as well.

You hit the 241’s the best! Thinner sole and bounce. You can hear the difference.

Thanks for the comment John! New video drops tomorrow where I build out my ultimate combo iron set using the ENTIRE current Mizuno players irons lineup, so stay tuned for it!! That said, I think I'm going to film a Mizuno Pro 241 vs. Srixon Z-Forged II Blade Battle video! Is this something you'd like to see?

Yes! I just saw those the other day and they look like a great and possibly more forgiving blade. Looking forward to it!!

I just tried the UDI, Srixon, and Mizuno. The Mizuno was by far the best club. It was heads above the rest, and I am a Taylormade man, but the UDI sucks

Mizuno really knows how to make a utility iron! Are you currently gaming the new Fli-Hi? If so, what specs did you go with?
