I figure that the oil in the radiator flows back to the pan, but it shouldn't do that... but anyway, how do you check the oil on your engine? do you wait for it to coll a few minutes, do you check it cold, or do you check it just after turning it off?

I have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe that just had a leaking condenser changed and the front is great but the back is hot. The dealer changed the rear evaporator but it’s still not blowing cold. I noticed the lines running front to back under the Tahoe are not cold and no drip from the rear condensation drain at all. Any help would be appreciated!

I think you have the ports reversed. H should be rear and V is front. Not sure how that will effect you since you ran all new lines. How does removing the DSC/ABS box work. Did you need to tune it out?
@AlanFixedItАй бұрын
I routed it how the instructions from Chase Bays said to as far as ports go. Doing this will result in dash lights. The DSC one can be disabled via coding. The ABS theoretically shouldnt throw a light since I left the unit in place to retain speedometer functions. It's bypassed with this kit mechanically, but if you leave it plugged in then the car shouldn't know and therefore shouldn't yell at you about it. I'll eventually code out the DSC and report back.
@AlanFixedIt Yeah, I think you hooked it up correctly. But front is V and H is rear on the master. So the Bias piece that connects to the rear lines (through Handbrake) should be coming from H not V. V should have the T that goes to either front. Not sure it would make a difference, but I think H and V outputs from the master should be swapped.

Great Video! I found it because I have been feeling some vibration at higher speeds upon acceleration. A lot of forums say it would be a CV axle but I have new CV axles on both sides. So when I went underneath I noticed there is a fair amount of up/down side/side play in where the axle connects to the trans/diff. I also have the leaking issue you have here. Im wondering if the stub coming out of my diff is worn out, and how to replace/diagnose that? Thoughts?
@AlanFixedItАй бұрын
There's is a bearing behind that seal retainer that is removed in this video. However they usually make a ton of noise if they are bad. When are you getting the vibration? If it's happening at a stop it's likely caused by poorly made aftermarket axles. If it's happening when driving and you already replaced the axles, then the next step is to remove the drive line and feel the u-joints for notchy spots or sometimes they are completely seized up.
@liketolearn141Ай бұрын
Doesn't the stub come out
@AlanFixedItАй бұрын
They do with enough force. But it's best to leave them in if possible as the locking ring on the end of the stub can be easily damaged or lost.

Hey Alan , I have a question about the oil cooler I have an e46 m52tub28 and I want to add an oil cooler but I’ve heard that it needs to be changed the pump down it because it doesn’t have oil flow Is it true that adding an external oil cooler might cause problems

Hey! Im not a BMW expert by any means. I'm not sure I understand your question about the pump? But I believe your engine is very similar to mine and I haven't heard of amy issues related to the oil cooler otherwise than some claims that removing the Thermostat on Daily Driver is t a great idea due to longer warm up times. However I have not noticed an issue with warm ups on my car.

Got no start unless with spray , got the p0089 code and surge at idle but pressures were spot on while driving but now no crank still . Fuel leak at cp3 fittings and somewhere on back of housing . @AlanFixedItАй бұрын
Man, it sounds like a leak or a bad pump. Hopefully the replacement pump helps. Did the pump have a new FPR on it? If not maybe check that out. There's also the pressure relief valve that could be failed causing the system not to pressurize. If the system ever had an overpressure condition and that safety valve popped open then it's done and needs replaced. That's that part that the big banjo bolt attaches to on the top of the Valley.

Just did this successfully on a L25 head, The left side head did not have the inner hole pre drilled so it was tougher to keep the hole centered. I would recommend going about 2mm less deep for the 18.5 bit than an actual EGR head and a couple drill bit sizes less for the center hole to account for any off centering.

short story; mines works again... i took out that duplexer, wire brushed the crust off, tooth brushed the holes with nail polish remover, clean it some more, covered the contacts with dielectric grease then reinstalled. worked like a charm... now the whole story; i've had scattered rain storms this whole month when the "sos tele aid" popped up... i waited 2 weeks to see if it would go away but didn't... i noticed the truck was damp and taking in water.. water was pooling in the spare tire well, not a lot but enough.. i took out everything damp, tire cover, tire, carpet trim... i even saw a little mold.... *i was able to remove the side panel by itself*...wiped everything down and blow dried some areas... then left the trunk open to fully dry out(2 days in the cold garage) before i touched the duplexer.... anywho,, good luck!

Thank you for the nice video. At 18:33 showing the top right bolt at 2 o'clock position which is the most difficult bolt to get to. I belive the tranny/engine can be tilted down further by removing the Stop Buffer between the oil pan and the subframe cross member (located just rear of the engine oil drain bolt). This buffer is clipped on top of the cross member and its top hard plastic is bottomed out on the lowring oil pan. The buffere was there to prevent the oil pan from moving forward and hit the cross member during hard braking. I have not seen anyone talking about this Stop Buffer when removing the transmission.
