Your synopsis of border posts is so spot on and it’s just mind boggling that we haven’t got there yet . It’s not rocket science to just simplify the system. When we did our trip through Africa and up to Europe, we noticed that , IF there was a border post entering EU from non EU, it’s literally a ‘Drive thru’ window. Once in EU, you don’t even realise you’ve crossed into another country sometimes. But anyway…. For now we deal with it, however frustrating 😂😂

Ryan, what a great adventure! It's always something to look forward to and well done on the bush fix on the electrics, perhaps a handy tool is to carry a multi-meter 😄Funny that I just watched this, on the 1 year anniversary of our trip to Botswana in July 2023 on the exact same route! Agree on the fully booked comment as we had the same experience at Ihaha where we were the only people in camp. You were truly blessed by the sightings both in Ihaha and Savuti! Elephant kills by lions are extremely rare to see.

Out of curiosity... Do you guys carry a firearm for personal safety at all?

No firearms across borders, and we don’t carry firearms at all. We use air horns and pepper spray if confronted by people and or predators.

Absolutely fantastic!! Wild dogs, southern ground hornbill, roan antelope and so many elephants. It was sad to see some suffering and then not surviving the harsh conditions. Thank you for showing many sides to these beautiful and spectacular places!

First of all, I need to congratulate you for the great content. I’ve been following you for years and the quality has improved drastically. Now, about Ihaha. This is kind of worrying. For some reason I never felt safe at Ihaha but it was just my instinct. The place feels too open. You seem to confirm that. So sad. Camping in NP is supposed to be safe. If this changes, we will not travel the same way. As you say, it’s not a cheap camp. I guess they would be interested only in valuables. Otherwise we will have to lock even our chairs at night. Very sad.

Hi Ryan, Reece, unfortunately the comments around robbery is true at Ihaha. Some of them have been more severe as well. Lot has been spoken and reported on the 4x4 community group. It is really sad, as we want to enjoy the beauty of Botswana and Ihaha but then things like this happen. I do believe during peak periods they have guards roaming. Despite above an absolutely wonderful video. It is magical to see this through your lenses. It makes you want to do an overlanding trip. Exceptional videography and really enjoyed watching it

I'm enjoying your episodes here in Botswana in Serowe village if you know it. Your episodes has been an inspiration to me and shown how beautiful our continent is. Hope to meet you one day and take a selfie with you🤙

Glad to have the old girl running again , dirty fuel will cause the injectors to drip and over fuel , hope you have a fitted a aftermarket RACOR fuel filter system and change it every 5000km this will save your engine .

Chobe is magic. Blessed enough to have been twice. Lions, ellies, roan, buffalo, wow. But, it was the leopards. And we agree, no one should be walking in your camp, ever, unless they are wildlife. Windhoek, good beer!
