You have transformed my life. I’m not as hard core as you are, but man. I haven’t snacked in two months for the first time in my LIFE. I have little to no cravings now and when I get them I can usually use your tips and stuff to avoid freaking out and binging/reaching for a snack or worse, junk food, between meals. I never eat past 730pm now and it’s not even hard. I don’t get anxious for food at 9, 10 pm anymore even if I didn’t eat enough at dinner. My body has totally adjusted to no snacks at all whatsoever. I eat high protein meals and have discovered so many great ways to get my protein. My meals are healthy and whole now and I feel satisfied with them. Don’t get me wrong, I still indulge several times a week and at social events. I still drink alcohol and eat sugar a couple times a week depending. But I feel literally so in control and transformed and have lost weight. Thank you.

Limit drinks with sugar to reduce blood sugar which stores new food as fat until blood sugar is in low. Body always burns sugar as fuel and then stored fat.

I was really skeptical about cottage cheese being yummy but I bought some and had it with berries and peanut butter with unsweetened coconut and blanched almonds on top and let me tell you, that was one of the most satisfying things I've ever eaten. Like different than delicious - it was just really satisfying. Thanks for the tips!

Thanks Autumn for these great tips. I have a question about something I heard that I suspect is a myth. Does the consumption of yogurt and meat at the same time negate the benefits? Will it get in the way of protein absorption?

I am one of those people who is truly dairy/whey intolerant/sensitive . And has been before it became a fad. I was able to give up probiotics once I gave up dairy for good. Kite Hill has a delicious high protein yogurt.

Collagen is getting the big push here in Australia as an age reversing element. There are lots of companies selling ‘pure collagen’ drinks etc. Not mention of protein. Purely focussing their target (women, especially middle aged), to use it as a drink every day.

Hi everyone Autumn thank you for the consistent videos. I have a question- I have tried intermittent fasting again on May 15th. I lost 13 pounds the first week which Ik it was mostly water weight. I can see some inches coming off but no more weight loss. I’m breaking my fast with protein and fat and clean eating the rest of my meals. I need some help please anyone??

I can't find Siggi's on Thrive, it looks like they don't have any yogurt or other fresh dairy, right? I was planning to try them out when I thought that they had a lot of pantry staples like dairy and organic veg, but it seems like they mainly have prepackaged non perishable foods, salty snacks, and sauces, which I try not to eat a ton of.

I've lost a lot of weight on keto and 18/6 IF but my body has had enough. I started getting cramps, fatigue, confusion, ears popping like pressure about 4 weeks ago ago at first I thought it maybe a sodium deficiency so I up'd my salt a little improvement but would keep getting the symptoms everyday. Anyway went to the Dr for a blood test he recommended I should get a choco bar asap as my blood sugar was close hypoglycemia levels. He recommended having some fruit in the morning and introducing some starch carbs into the diet again. Which I have done. I'm still getting symptoms after a few hours so I'll eat a snack like a Satsuma or a Baked Sweet Potato with some Kimchi which helps. I think it's safe to say I'm firmly off the keto diet and IF for a while. I managed a few 16/8 last week but this week has been near impossible. I'm trying Calorie restricted diet no more than 2000 calories per day.

@@lorrainem1870 I can't do it. My blood sugar drops and I feel like I'm going to collapse. And no it's not Keto flu. Sometimes youve got to listen to your body. And mine had had enough Low Carbs going in. I'm giving fruit and starchy veg a run for a while. I already feel more fuller water retention I'm guessing. Once I start feeling better again I'll go back to IF but no daily 3-4 times per week. I do miss the fastening

@1234charliebrown Get Dr Mindy Pelz's book "Fast Like a Girl." The same fasting protocol and way of eating every day is very bad for women. We need to vary what we eat and when we eat for optimal hormone health.

Somebody said don't drink until the end of the meal. When you are full and can't eat anymore without drinking to push it down then stop eating and drink all the water down.

Hey Autumn! I am a 12 year old who has not hit puberty yet. I have genetics of being skinny in younger years and as they hit 40 they get a little bigger. My question is, do your genetics matter about losing weight? So, can I lose belly fat *before* I hit puberty?

This assumption is based on the idea of eating "too much protein" in general, which is *really* difficult to do. Most people struggle to even eat half of what they need to be eating in a day. Want cheap meat... eat seasoned Vidalia onion turkey burger with no bun or seasoned ones snd a salad like its a steak or something. Eat well. 5lb rolls of ground beef-cook the pink out. As soon as its cooked dump in mesh strainer and rinse with water. After add back 1 lb at a time and season it with taco or spaghetti sauce etc. Store in quart freezer bags. Easier than the roll to store.

I buy ratio keto greek yogurt ... it has a little monk fruit in it to take away the sour taste .. this is 0 fat so I use it when I make smoothie or chia bowls as I add in my fat with chia seeds peanut butter nuts etc.

Yogurt will always have a bit of sourness to it because it's fermented. But you can top it with low sugar fruits or sautéed blueberries to add a hint of sweetness. You can eat too much of any of the macronutrients, but with protein it's *very* hard to overeat. Protein is so hormonally satiating that our body naturally stops us from eating more. It's much more likely that someone is under-eating on protein (and receiving all of the negative health effects from low consumption) than over.

I'm sorry, but I find Thrive Market to be fool's gold. I tried them, but canceled in the first 30 days to get my subscription fee refunded. First of all, I hate how they hide their prices until you become a member. Then the savings that they advertise is false. It looks like you're saving money with their discounts, but they actually mark up their prices and then discount the marked up price, so in the end for the most part, you are paying around the exact same price as you would in tge grocery store. The only advantage I find us that they have items that you can't find in a grocery store like pasture raised chicken. In the end, I don't find them to be worth it.

Nutritional science is so confusing. For a long time, it was pushing high protein. Then it was saying that too much protein is bad. Now it’s pushing high-protein again. I’m confused.

It definitely evolves over time as we learn more and more research is gathered. Previously, a lot of nutrition research was epidemiological, which is a really poor method of studying the human body. Now, there are more experimental studies that can show cause and effect, giving us much stronger evidence for what works best for the human body.

The calorie equated diet higher in protein means more calories burned through the thermic effect of food. See this is why you shouldn’t interpret primary research if you aren’t trained to do so. No one argues against protein fir weight loss. Are you being intentionally misleading?

The ethical and environmental way to eat meat is to buy organic grass-fed/pasture raised meat and stay away from the conventional factory farmed stuff as much as possible.

I struggle with this as well. I have tried being more plant based and I know I feel better eating as Autumn prescribes (ie. more protein & fats). But I also have watched the documentaries talking about how the planet cannot sustain all of us eating lots of animal products… even if sustainably/ethically raised. So it makes me feel guilty. I don’t know what the solution is :(

Hi! I highly recommend checking out the documentary and book "Sacred Cow". It gives another perspective on the environmental and ethical questions of incorporating animal foods into our diets. If possible, I highly recommend reading the book as it is *very* well researched and insightful.

wow...this is all completely and utterly useless for a vegan!!LOL😁 Think I'll stick with my protein bars and shakes to boost my intake and just keep to a calorie deficit (which we all know is the 'hack' that is proven to work!😉). Ive lost 50Ibs so far this year so it must be working!

I wish I liked ground meat, any ground meat, but I can’t stand it. I also hate pork rinds so that takes two of the big hitters out of my equation.😮😢
