Literally same area, around throttle cables/CP3 PUMP ANDsame 2,000 RPM AMD LOWER AKA 50MPH NO ISSUE BUT AT AROUND 2,000 RPM OR 65 RPM JUST A MATTER OF MINUTES AND OVERHEATING AND NO MORE COOLANT WHEN YOU PULL OVER AMS CHECK I know this isy problem trans is even acting a little funny,, probably getting hot. Ur a lifesaver

05 2500 Cummins, exact same issue. Still glad it wasn't the head gasket, but thank you for the helpful tips on the job.

Dude, had to add coolant every couple of months but couldn't see a leak anywhere. My old phrase is "things left unto themselves only get worse". Filling up my 2005 Dodge diesel I looked underneath and coolant just pouring out drivers side at the firewall. Got home with the temperature gauge pegged at hotter than hades. Looked at all the obvious places for the leak, nothing I could think of at the location of the leak. Googled and found your video, Oh right, the trans intercooler!!! Had the trans lines replaced several years ago, why did I not think of the coolant lines. Anyway, thanks for your video, got me looking in the right place for the leak. Hell of a line to get off, a day just to get it off in the driveway at plus 4C. As chance would have it, noticed truck needs new brake pads, got them while I have the truck up. The needle nose vice grips worked like a charm. Better now at plus 4 than January at minus 20.

Thanks for posting the video. That's not where my leak is coming from but it's a place I'm going to check now while I'm looking for mine.

I have the same problem but I have a 06 3500 5.9. What symptoms was the truck having? If any other than leaking through the water-to-oil cooler hose

I bought an 03 Cummins that had some front end damage that they repaired. There is no overflow tank the overflow line runs into the sub frame square. Been running the truck for a while with no over heating or other problems just coolant gets a little low in the radiator. Did they try to hide something by deleting the overflow or just lazy? No pressure overnight in the upper rad hose.

How do u know it was leaking into the transmission ?
@mxreese69r6Ай бұрын
@@edwardray3969 well let's see ..... #1 he said " destroyed transmission " #2 he also noted " $4,500 " ...so here we are at #3 which doesn't have anything in common with #1 and/or #2 but number one and number two are essentials in this problem solving scenario ...ANYWAYYYYSSSZZ BACK TO THE ISSUE AT HAND.. we know now that he lost a transmission, we know he spent $4,500 to have an operable transmission again so #1 he more than likely had it rebuilt by a reputable local shop that warranties their work for hopefully 1yr unlimited mileage or more at a solid but not ridiculous $4,500 for a diesel transmission and torque converter since the 47re and even 48re have many problem parts and problems to upgrade even at a stock power level once they become 2p yrs old with 1l4 to 1\2 million miles or he is a gear head and went all the way through his trans leaving no stone left in turned if he spent $4,500 on nothing but internal parts for his transmission...with all this knowledge burning our pupils out at this moment we can actually ASSUME one thing and be confident that the assumption is actually factual and more than not other gear heads will also agree with this (our answer) : the tech that rebuilt his transmission, or him while rebuilding his own trans or him checking his fluid levels amd condition when his truck stoped operating and moving from point A to point B pulled his trans dipstick or dropped pan and filter and WHOLEY FUCK SAW MILKY FLUID DUH!! THEN TRACED ALL THE CULPRITS DOWN THAT WOULD INTRODUCE WATER INTO THE TRANS AND FOUND THE TRANSMISSION HEAT SINK / TRANS FLUID COOLER TO BE THE ISSUE .. PRETTY FREAKING SIMPLE TO COME UP WITH THIS ANALYSIS IN ABOUT ¹²/¹⁰⁰⁰ OF A SECOND IN YOUR HEAD..........CHERRIO MATE HOPE I WAS ABLE TO SHED LIGHT ON YOUR SITUATION AND TEACH YOU SOMETHING NEW TODAY!!!!! Is this the replacement for the bottom coolant hose on the torque converter cooler? I can’t seem to find the part number for that line. Rubber elbows with hard line in-between

If only this man was born with hands instead of a flashlight we might have understood the hose clamp thing 🤷.
