Great vid! I just got a 2022 Colorado ZR2 in blue, and it looks similar! It is the best of all worlds. In 2022, the Colorado ZR2 is the King of the midsized trucks, and dominates anything else in its class. Including Taco Turds! LOL

I’ve owned every brand truck, various models and my 2018 zr2 duramax is in my top 3 favorite trucks I’ve owned. I’ve had zero problems over 120k miles and will be sad to sell it when my new at4 comes in.

I'm a native westerner living on the east coast. Seeing that terrain and the truck hood bobbing back and forth made me nostalgic and homesick. haha. You can tell that suspension handles very well. Great video!

Thanks for the great content Ben. Ive really enjoyed the time that ive had so far with my 2021 ZR2 Dusk Edition. Its been very capable in a multitude of situations offroad and on. I am really looking forward to the release of the 2023 Colorado ZR2, as well as its newer brother the all new Gmc canyon AT4X. Hoping that both vehicle will bring huge improvements to the performance of the vehicle, as well as a solid quality interior the the colorado has always desperately needed.

I am on my second ZR2 and have to say its one of the Best off-road capable midsize Trucks on Market today. My 2017 V6 version was fun, but nothing like my 2020 mini DMAX for torque off road. Once I put my Mini max on the Canadian diet and unleased some of that power, I wouldn't want to own any other truck right now.

Use the off road mode, it will hold gears longer sort of like a sport mode plus it puts the ABS in off road mode.

I’m getting my 2022 this week! I wish it came in a manual transmission. This will be my first auto in many years…. I would’ve gotten the Tacoma TRD PRO due to the manual tranny if there wasn’t a 15 month wait for one!

To bad you don't have a slightly modified truck to review. A taller tire makes a tremendous difference on these, the oem Duratracs are not really a top of the line off road tire. Things like gears, suspension and ecm tune makes a night to day difference. Great review, keep them coming. Paddle shifter would be a very nice addition. There is a learning curve using manual mode in the 8l45 trans. Replacing the hard 2 stage zr2 rear springs is a major improvement. OEM bump stops are hard, better choices around.

got my zr2 up an ice covered slush forest road while carrying 6 guys and bunch of camping with fuckin all seasons and it chugged along granted i got the dmax so the torque def helped

love ZR2 DMAX , only wish it had a little bit more HP but other than that it an awesome truck.

skid plates are mandatory on this vehicle, lots of people had issues with driving offroad with ZR2s and gravel getting at exposed wiring underneath the vehicle

I haven’t finagled with the hill descent control, but I think you have to use the gear shift plus/minus button to adjust speed.

I don’t see the oem frame sliders, I’m still waiting for mine to come in and it’s been like 6 weeks

Hill start , works when you stop , then push the brake again thay will set it .

Quick question did it not come with rock sliders or did you remove them? Just trying to determine if it's standard equipment or an upgrade I thought it was standard

Ok Ben. Honest opinion. 2022 Ford Tremor or 2022 Colorado ZR2. Clearance wise which one has the best clearance and everyday ride comfort

How do the Ranger Tremor shocks compare

ZR2 is my midsize truck of choice but after owning an 18 & 20 I just can’t go there again due to poor quality. Both v6 , crew cab models.

No 360 cameras so it's harder to offroad. 😂

I drove a diesel Colorado TURD TRUD TRUD!!! Joke turd!!!!! And I drove a 3.6 ZR2.. Depending on your style of driving you would need the V6.. My daily driver is a 5.3 Silverado neither of those trucks can compare to the power of the 5.3 the ZR2 needs a 5.3!!!!!
