Ya know you've been my last bastion of optimism for this game and I would sometimes think you were blindly hopeful. Now hearing you finally be broken by 343 is just a great example of the overarching theme of the relationship between 343 and the community. It's just like we live in an 2 different realities where they think they can gaslight us into thinking that the players have no idea what their talking about and the dev's incompetence is actually a feature not a bug.

Uninstalled the game (console) today. Is just more frustrating than it is fun. I don't play video games to end up more stressed than if i were working for the entire day. Ranked feels like it wants to annoy you instead of make you have a great time by playing with same skill level players.

Infinite failing this hard is just really sad from a big Halo fan like me and many others. It's just sad to see such a big legend get ruined like this. I dont care what excuses they have, but 343 have really fucked up in so many ways and should not be allowed to work on the games anymore.

As a primarily console player who has also played Infinite on PC, albeit with a controller, I actually prefer no red reticle and wish there was a way to turn it off on console. I guess I am in the small minority there though. That being said since I hit level 100 in the Battlepass I haven't really played. The small events like Tenrai and Tactical Ops are fun for a couple of games, but the current challenge system requires me to play in a very unorthodox manner, leading to me ignoring the overall objective of the game to selfishly to complete a challenge I can't complete unless the matchmaking RNG for a gametype or weapon spawn is on my side. All my friends moved on from Halo years ago, like after Reach years ago...I kind of feel a little like Noble 6 at the end of Reach. It is sad to see 343 and Micro$oft ruining this once great titan in the gaming industry. This game could have helped revive Halo, instead the negligence 343 has shown with answering the community has lead to it feeling closer to the grave state that Gears of War is currently in. My two favorite franchises of all time and it seems like that they are trying to wrench the last bit of moisture out of a rag that has been left in the sun.

Feels like 343 is just standing around with their hands in their pockets waiting for their own game to completely tank. All they do is acknowledged the issue and say they will fix it in the future, what has actually been fixed?. Haven't played for weeks now and it sucks because was so excited for the release and co-op but we end up getting this disaster of a game.

I wonder how much of this is difficult to report because the game is so janky. For example, my shield was charged all the way up and I died from one melee - which seems wrong - but I don’t know if this was a latency issue or a cheater lol

my biggest issue with this game is everything surrounding this game is that everything is “yes we are thinking about this feature or we’re working on it, we’ll share more when the time comes” like dude its a triple A game in a big franchise, why is this shit being treated like some early access indie game

I think the anti cheat update made things worse, if it did anything at all. It’s very difficult to say for sure, but the amount of suspicious things happening in my games has increased significantly. One time I used camo to sneak into a building on CTF, we just wiped the enemy, so I grabbed camo was sitting in front of bar waiting for enemies to spawn and my team to get their attention. Well this fresh spawned enemy, throws a grenade exactly where I was in the building, he didn’t just wing it, he tossed it right where I was, and came in facing exactly where I was. I could understand him lobbing grenades in but exactly where I was, and to come in facing me without ever seeing me? Secondly I’ve been shot with full camo at mid to long distances multiple times. Camo is pretty strong in this game, people usually have to get fairly close before you can see them. So imagine my shock when I’m crouch walking across the map and get hit with a br, I’ve also noticed that for some reason after the reset, I’m dealing with a lot more people with insane movement and aim. Like this one guy seemed to have a bot because whenever my crosshair would get over him, he would immediately duck and move the opposite, I maybe got one br burst in him. I could never prove one way or the other but before the update and reset, I wasn’t seeing so many “well that seemed weird” type of things.

Just my opinion, I've been playing halo since the beginning. Never once have I paid attention to if my reticle turns red before I pull the trigger. But I don't play on PC so.......

How did this game cost $500 Million? Even if these developers were getting paid $100 an hour, that's 5 million man-hours. To put that into perspective, the Empire State Building took 7 million man-hours to build. WTF?!?

This game is a complete dumpster fire. I haven’t played or made content on the game for months and all this information just makes me want to stay away from the game even more. 343 is taking things so slow like they’re hoping the features they eventually add will save the game and it won’t. The game died because they didn’t take care of it and did nothing to keep it interesting.

This game reminds me of overwatch. A lot of potential but it took the developers 4 years to make the game balanced and worth playing. By the time they did that, the player base was gone.

Red reticle not coming back should not be an issue. I'm gunna give everyone a little tip. Turn off enemy names, and when your aiming at someone, If your in their hit box, there will be a diamond over there head. And if you pay enough attention to that diamond, when you miss a shot out of your burst it will fade.

I think the report a player system in place was designed that way to drive traffic to their website but they have made it that awkward cheaters don't get reported by console players as you don't want to stop what you are doing boot up the laptop etc just to report someone you want to jump into the next game and keep playing they really need to have it added to in game reporting The biggest fix needed is desync it seems to be happening more often since the last patch or maybe it's I just notice it more now

The development of Halo Infinite is such a shame.. I play in Onyx, but quit two months ago as it was just not stable enough to without extreme frustration keep playing. The game has such potential, I really hope to return when it's playable again

My PC froze then I lost the next game , went down about 75 percent of a rank , absolutely ridiculous.

I’ve got over 200 hours on this things and yeah, I’m beside myself right now that there isn’t a quick way to: 1. Mute players 2. Report cheaters or toxic behavior 3. Squad up with players after a match you gelled with. Also grinding ranked with only 3 maps is getting really fucking old.

This whole useless studio needs to be dissolved, and the IP handed to Blizzard. Why Blizzard? Because their games *work.* And having games that *work* is truly radical in this market. Indeed, Blizzard's first-ever FPS was a smash hit, and has worked like a well-oiled machine since day one. I started playing Halo shortly after it released. Played Halo CE through GameSpy and XBC. Played Halo 2 and 3 quite a bit. Traveled to the first MLG for Halo 3. I played a bit of Reach but moved on to PC gaming. I was happy to play MCC on Steam but the only game worth playing for me was Halo CE. With every Halo since CE left me a bit disappointed at how far they strayed away from it. Infinites gameplay feels great to me. There definitely needs to be more maps but I was finally enjoying Halo again. It’s inexcusable how little content this game has. Service Records Forge Co-Op Custom Games In game lobbies/chat Triple AAA gaming is complete trash now. The sad thing is with all the issues Infinite has it’s way better than Battlefield 2042 is.

I will say, I love Halo Infinite. I have hit onyx and have loved the mechanics and the feel of the game as a whole. That being said, the lack of a report system that's actually simple and easy has been a huge disappointment and I'm sad to say it's turned me away from the game due to how seemingly simple of a quality of life change. I have hope for the game eventually coming back with a vengeance but right now the state of the game makes me sad...

How do you report cheaters on xbox?

triggerbots can be easily discovered by the perfect fire to hit score on weapons. thats way more player friendly than disabling red reticule. and player outlines can be used for triggerbots just as easily

At this point the only thing that's stale are game developers releasing broken games and taking at minimum a year to fix them. Gamers as a whole should go on strike across all games and platforms to punish and set an example to others.

I have no idea what the removal of red reticle even is supposed to do. It's still aim assist, you just can't see the actual range difference anymore. Who does this help?

You need at least a small understanding of how to code in order to code a hack script. When you have the reticle changing color when you are on target, it makes it to where literally anyone could slap two or three lines of code down and have it auto fire whenever the reticle turns red. Im sure red reticle helped more advance hack coders by making the "when to fire" process that much easier to code. Its a cosmetic fix for sure though, that gets blown out by the player highlighting system halo uses

I think they fixed the melee problem in the tactical event by making them all ties. I've never had so many ties with melee until I played tatical slayer.

I had a guy cheat on BTB but tried his hardest to play dumb. Then tried to ask me what i wanted in return for me to not report him. Want me to be completely honest? I told him to keep cheating as much as possible and hit me up whenever he plays. If 343 won't get rid of these bastards i rather have them on my team then against.

Dude this game is already dead. 343 is way to slow at keeping the game updated in a timely fashion. They need consistent and frequent updates to anti-cheat, quality of life, and game content none of which they are doing quick enough. The game isn't even on the top 100 list in most played games on Steam, and its not even in the top 10 list of the most played games on xbox, last I checked it was sitting at #16 and following a downward trend. That's the problem with an online only game once you upset enough of your player community and your player count drops low enough your game dies to, and halo infinite is on that path and 343 doesn't seem to care at all? I'd be shocked if this game is still around after 3 years!

They need to get their heads out of their asses or this game is just dead. halo has been sooo dead. Only hardcore halo fans keep this game alive. I used to grind halo 10+hrs a day sometimes lol.
