It's great that your lad's a fan of the Marvels - a youngster's enthusiasm for something can be infectious and, speaking for myself, can often overcome my middle-aged cynicism..! Yeah, Shang-Chi in 2D is a movie I'll never want to watch; in 3D though, that's a totally different story..!

Japan only gets 3D Blu-rays to make up for their theaters not releasing movies in 3D. Prepare to buy lots of Lightfield Tablets, TV's and Smartphones.

@@Shahaneh Ah Shahaneh, I always admire your optimism for the return of domestic 3D! I'm more on the cynical side though really, given the total lack of interest in glasses-free 3D tablets when they appeared at the height of 3D TVs' popularity, the failure of the Red Hydrogen One, and the Lume Pad not managing to get noticed. The sad truth, as I see it, is that people just aren't interested. Hope you're right and I'm wrong though. Cheers.

In 2018 and earlier I would have agreed with you on 3D popularity being on decline, but 2019 and 2021 have been great years. Not to mention people demanding studios to release more 3D content since Pandemic, and soo many Disney+ and Nickelodeon programs being in Stereoscopic 3D for an upcoming release of new TV's and Smartphones. And countries throughout the world switching to using 3D 8K Cameras to film their new shows and movies. So yes, I'm optimistic but its for a reason, I mean the studios clearly have a plan to release all this never seen in 3D before 3D content somewhere. Even Amazon on Twitter bizarrely mention out of nowhere in a poll they tweeted, if people prefer Awesome 3D or Flat 2D. So something is on its way, hell entire countries have gone all 3D in their content as far back as 2020; from Japan to certain European countries already. There are signs of something coming to give me optimism. Also I think Luma Pad was only release in response to the crowd funded ProMa King tablet for a quick corporate cash-in, I mean there's no real promotion for the Luma Pad except for free stuff like Social Media.

I remember watching Jaws 3d in the Cinema , solid 3D , I picked up Friday the 13th 3D on blu ray and the copy was damaged when it arrived , still waiting for a refund 😡

@@thekingdommovieschannel Oh no! Like Jaws 3D, the kills in Friday the 13th 3D were designed to poke the camera and audience. It's a fun time. I hope you find a copy sometime. ABC needs to release a 3D sitcom Blu Ray with Drew Carey show and all the other shows that did those 3D nights.

Agreed 3D is death on TVs but you can still enjoy it with a projector

Hey, my projector is an Optoma 114 , my glasses are from 3D3.co.uk the one I use are the classic (DLP) and my screen is just a 100 inch standard projector screen 👍

I have seen Hugo and gave it to a friend to watch havn't got it back 😡it's outstanding , thanks for the recomendations I'll definately check them out , i'm finding it increasingly difficult to track down 3D movies , India don' t ship to ireland so frustrating , e-bay is very expensive . If people knew how good the home 3d experience was it would really catch on , I didn't like the cinema experience and I think it turned people off the format , thanks again 👍

@@thekingdommovieschannel Keep the Faith…ultimately I believe that 3D will win through - PSVR headsets and virtual reality will gradually push the medium….the main problem for home users is that 4K format is not compatible with 3D and 3D is too expensive a process for the TV companies. You are also correct with the cinema experience…the light is too dim and Theatres should set their projectors to double brightness but a lot do not….I remember being put off by the last Harry Potter film I saw in the cinema..it was dire. Luckily I had the opportunity to buy an ex-demo Sony 3D projector from Audio-T in Bristol for less than the cost of my Sony 4K TV, together with 4 pairs of shutter glasses - wow!! , the 3D was stunning, and as you say, most people remain ignorant of the quality available. Hope also that James Cameron convinces the movie companies to make the new Avatar sequels available in 3D Blu-Ray for home viewing.

No worries I thought your list was full of great recommendations...other good IMAX titles are Grand Canyon, Space Station, Rescue, Wild Ocean and Into the deep. You could also add Ghost in the shell, Godzilla V Kong, King Arthur LOTS and Ready Player One to that list...and for animated movies with great popouts see Madagascar 3, Monsters V Aliens, Despicable Me and Megamind.

Hey , yeah seen it just before Christmas , the 3D was excellent especially the underwater scenes, was going to review it but got a bad flu over Christmas and my camera went down, hope to get back to it in the next week or so 👍

Tha way to go is a projector tha'ts 3D enabled and a 3D blu ray player with speakers , you can pick up a screen farly cheap online , this should get you started 👍

I do it in VR. If you have a PC you can buy the BluRay, rip it to a side by side format and stream it to a VR Headset like the Oculus Quest2 or other. There are VR cinema Apps on it ('f ex. Bigscreen, Skybox etc) where you can watch it in different cinema environments.

Ps4 has 3d option

@@thekingdommovieschannel I wanted to tell you that I started my 3D collection shortly before 2018 and it has been growing little by little (every time I see recommendations on youtube, I buy them through ebay), but to see it I only have an LG cinema 3D TV of only 42 inch, I hope to be able to travel to the capital of my country (Lima) and try to buy, even if it is used, a bigger TV, 55 or 60 in 3D, because as it is a technology that is no longer manufactured, it is a bit Hard to get working TVs.
