You asked and in this review, we share our experience 50,000 miles and 3 years later on our Tesla Model X P100D ownership with an honest take. We covered service visits, an accident recap, range loss, issues with the doors/children, and give an honest opinion if we were to buy again. We think this Tesla Model X P100D review will help you if you're looking to buy a used Tesla in general or a used Model X.
While the Tesla Model X P100D is not perfect, looking at the big picture, the Tesla Model X P100D is an unbelievable SUV. Truly the Model X P100D is hard to believe that you can get this kind of performance, technology, and practicality in the year 2019. And now that it's depreciated, the Tesla Model X P100D is reasonably affordable. But, it does come with some compromises.
For example in 2019, we had to pay $1,400 to install a NEMO 14-50 outlet in my garage. That was an expense I had not figured into the calculations of this vehicle. I also am getting much less range than I should be. This car is rated at 285 and with my driving, at least in the first week, I was averaging 100 miles less per charge. I cover after three years of ownership, the range loss since buying in 2019 really has not degraded that much. But, it's still far lower than what Tesla states it should be.
In this Tesla Model X P100D 2.0 review video, we covered really our ownership experience to date. This includes the Tesla Model X P100D service visits where we mention replacing tires every 10-15k miles, the replacement of the upper control arms, the window trim, upgrading the MCU, issues with the gullwing doors, our accident recap, range loss, room in the back seats and more. We also launched the Tesla Model X P100D, discussed our love out AutoPilot 1.0, and took a little POV drive in the country.
In this 2.0 recap video, we do demonstrate Tesla's Model X P100D self-driving technology, and Tesla Model X P100D performance. I also show you the Tesla Model X P100D interior and Tesla Model X Falcon Wing doors. The Tesla Model X P100D is extremely good, it's fast, quiet and frankly fun to drive. The Tesla Model X P100D is scary fast, the truly mind-bending speed with a zero to 60 in under 3 seconds. Even after three years and 75,000 miles. the old Tesla Model X has not lost here performance capabilities.
The Tesla Model X P100D as equipped cost $158,500 before tax credits and state taxes and title fees. This Tesla Model X P100D has the dual motor, premium package, upgraded HiFi sound system, upgraded 22-inch wheels, red calipers, enhanced self-driving autopilot, 6-seat configuration, upgraded supercharger, and automatic doors. Today, this Tesla Model X is probably worth around $50-$60k if it had no accidents.
This Tesla Model X P100D is going to continue to be our daily driver for some time. Please post your respectful comments and questions. I am all for positive dialogue about the vehicle and will be happy to answer your questions regarding my experiences with the Tesla Model X P100D to date.
Thank you to everyone for watching and supporting the channel. It's been a passion project for the past few years and we are so excited for the 2023 season! We will continue with weekly content and look forward to sharing some exciting car reviews with you all!

Great 75,000 mile review! I enjoy hearing about how a car feels after years of ownership. The good and not so good. Honest look here. I would still own one!

You know was interesting going through the records, really looking at the road rash and all the damage from other people. But can’t deny it the car has held up pretty darn well thus far.

I recently traded last July my 2021 Tesla model three long range for a 2017 Tesla model X 100 D and have not looked back. This car has performed exceptional the only maintenance work that I’ve had done on it since it already had 65,000 miles was replace the front struts due to a leak which ended up needing both front ones to be replaced, I did buy a set of four new tires, I did the MCU upgrade and recently changed The front control arms. Other than that it has been running flawless. Right now it said that the original range was 295 and at 100% it’s about 250-260 or so miles. Late last year I did a round trip from Austin to South Carolina which was 2700 miles and I had no issues whatsoever, my stops were for about 20 to 30 minutes each if even that long. the only thing I wish is that Tesla would let the car charge at a faster kw speed than 150kw or 160kw was the most that I could charge. Now it has 75k miles and purrs like a cat. Three weeks ago I had it wrapped and you can see int on my channel. Will keep for about 3 years and then trade for a used refreshed model x.

I gave you thumbs up on the info you shared about range loss. Thankyou. so many people forget even in an ICE if you drive spirited you lose gas range same as you lose in EV range. but you get better range when you drive an EV efficiently and utilize regen. so, the energy app in car will show how your range has increased or decreased based on your driving style. Never use the Battery icon mileage. that is EPA rated. Energy app is very accurate.

@Driven-Productions

It was just in the shop for alignment and steering wheel controls, cost $700 to fix. Other than that, no new issues. Range is 200 miles max I would say. The inner tire wear is an issue. Just replaced my tires in Jan and the rears needed to be changed two weeks ago again for $850. I do drive a lot though. The head tech recommended I sell the car before my 8 year warranty is up if that tells you anything. Asked him point blank. New modern 100 KwH battery would cost almost $20k he said. You also cannot 179 depreciate a Y 80% this year, so consider that. And now that Tesla dropped prices below $80k you can get the $7.5k tax credit. Hope some of that helps.

Reality is the X is just not the best kid hauler. You may be best with a van for this stage of life. We made it work, and the doors are nice for loading and unloading. But, when we had that side swipe I referenced I rented a Toyota Sienna van and man the room that thing had was awesome for the family. I do think the X can work with two, but three car seats just too tight my man.

That’s hard to say. If you get a 2016 like mine, you get real leather, you can get FSD, and can upgrade infotainment system to current gen so in many ways it will feel modern and with many over the air updates. Maybe this video will help a bit. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ntuZgK2c3Jqqc4E.html

You mean low amount of driving for those tire changes? If so, yes its a heavy car, low profile tire with 22 inch wheels, and a lot of power. Thats a recipe to eat tires. But, they do look 👌
