Lisa, Thank you for this video! I am so sick of the excuses for people who have zero moral compass, if you want to sleep around do the right thing and maturely and kindly leave the marriage!

Thank you for this video. I saw your video with Samuel on Affair recovery. I'm currently dealing with this from my husband's family. Got into a big fight with his mother this weekend. She's in the belief that if I would have been a better wife he would not have cheated on me. She said she wouldn't want to come home to me either. She said that I just need to get over it or leave him. It hasn't even been a year and he still blames me at the end of the day. After finding out about the affair he was in he stayed in the affair for four more months lying to me telling me it was over. But I had a GPS tracker on his phone that he didn't know about and one in his truck so I would know when he was with her. He also confessed to having multiple Affairs over many years not always having an affair but off and on having affairs. I've suspected things off and on for years but never had any hard proof until October.

Thank you so much for this insightful perspective. I had to stop my therapy sessions because the therapist made all of these assumptions. It was difficult to put these into words but you have done this magnificently. Thank you for these videos. They have been a light and guide in a very hard time for me. Your calm voice and sincere concern shines through as you heal with us.

Thank you so much. Anxiety and depression has been so overwhelming in the last year and a half. I’ve been blaming myself for my wife cheating on me and her finally leaving after 19 years of marriage. I was blaming myself. I knew deep down that there was no justification for her affairs over the years. But, I was still feeling it was my fault. In my head I keep replaying our history thinking if I would have done this or if I would have done that she would not have cheated throughout our marriage. You helped strengthen in my mind what I know to be true. There is no justification for adultery. Period. I made mistakes like not doing a very good job with helping clean the house but it does not justify her cheating on me. Thank you. Part of the justification for our divorce was not only adultery, but my lawyer added “cruel and inhuman treatment”. This was accomplished by my wife through psychological manipulation, deceit, and just pain lying. The crazy thing is I still after a year and a half love her and I’m still grieving our divorce. I did everything I could to reconcile our marriage and help her.

Excellent points Lisa! These things are often not obvious when you are in the thick of the drama and your world is collapsing. Thanks for reminding me of these important truths.
