Thank you sir!! I did something similar about a year ago in my old program but forgot how to do it. After watching this a couple of times it feels good targeting that muscle for the first time in a while. Great demonstration and explanation! ❤

I've been doing the simple version daily. I was wondering what happens if you change form. I.e. hands behind your back Lean forward as you do them Or doing them with a bent knee The thought was as you run you will have your knees bent. Would there be any benefit to varying them or should I stick to the standard and slowly edge me feet further from the wall?

.. what happens if I would do this while holding a dumbbell? would that help in building the tibialis anterior?

Yeah, it will make you able to progressively overload the muscle

Does this strengthen the knees? What is the exercise’s main function?

Strengthens the muscles attached to the tibia, which in turn helps prevent knee injuries and helps with sport performance and shin splints
