I let myself fail a bunch of times over the course of a year or so because I knew it would be a big change. I thought of it as practice runs rather than failed attempts. Over time I noticed a real difference in the way an animal diet makes me feel. Now it just isn't appetizing.

Awesome & educational. I am vegan since 2015. I had a drizzled cheese on bread when Buster my family last December and boom I got a flu. I never fall off especially these days when with COVID

I agree on the plant base diet, but he mentioned to many hybird foods that are starches that aren't good for consumption.

I disagree that every meal needs to be the way you mentioned. If you are talking about the overall diet, then 50% starches, 25% legumes, and 25% veggies sounds good, but you don't need each meal to be that way. I eat many meals that are 90-100% starches, some meals are 100% veggies or just a salad, but overall, starches make up 50-70% of my diet and veggies about 20-25%
