I watched the full four hours when it came out. I left a crazy charismatic church. It was beautiful and followed Holy Spirit until the leaders started following men like Benny Hinn. “Don’t touch the anointed “ and give give give. They brought in a “prophet” who had been under Benny Hinn who lead them to following”the man”. Pastor became “apostle” etc. it was confusing and painful. I had been at that church for 12 years and love the pastor. Now I pray for them and have moved on. I am thankful God is exposing the manipulation (witchcraft) in His church.

It’s second level spirit growth church. We must grow up into Him Who Is The Head. Even with real born again believer, even with true Holy Spirit baptism and power gifts, we can get snared because of the false doctrine of covering. This is where a man (male or female) usurps the place of Jesus as Head of His Body. No natural man can be a spirit head. Only Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the Godhead.
@lolabear6788
@lolabear6788 2 ай бұрын
You are correct it is witchcraft/control. It is the picture of Leviathan of Job 41 who swallows up true believers in his belly. The shields/scales/heads of his belly so tightly knit that no air/light gets in. It is Isaiah 1:23 your heads/princes turn/rebel. Knit together deceivers. Everyone loving donations and the safety of reciprocity. There are wholly fake believers (I think like Mike) and there are true believers who are truly gifted and then they “go forward, stumble, are snared and taken captive.” Isaiah 28:13 line upon line is a clue of this false doctrine. It is man’s rules on top of God’s rules so that… see above. They get snared. They stumble, go backwards and are taken. It’s the structure of the enemy surrounding believers. Corporate hierarchy. When we are either creator or created. We are not Creator. We are brothers of Jesus or not. In the Spirit we are all brothers. As a natural husband and wife we can be a picture, a reflection, of Jesus and His Bride, but no way is a husband actually Jesus! He has nothing in himself to heal, to save, to deliver. Only Jesus in us can do that and such in any believer. In the Spirit (born again) husband and wife are brothers! Jesus is Spirit Head of each!

I do think he does great work and is biblically Solid and in his faith. I don't know him, but from all the impression I get, I would assume that and agree. It's very important however that everyone of us is not perfect and you can be a born again and biblically solid believer, but still get things wrong. We should always bear this in mind. And some of his conclusions and interpretations he makes about Benny Hinn can be questioned very reasonably. In this case, it's even not so much about biblical doctrine often, but about the discernment of a person, a Christian Minister and his integrity, their comes much into play, not only discussing theology, but behaviour, practices, experiences, are certain things real or faked etc...

Thank you, thank you, thank you. For actually talking about these things. It’s so ironic that people sweep things under the rug in the name of “forgiveness” and “grace”, but really there’s so much fear that the house of cards they are building will fall to the ground. And it DOES when they fail to bring things to the light. When people like you ACTUALLY FREAKING TALK ABOUT IT, I feel like we can trust the integrity of the message and actually live out forgiveness and the gospel. Please don’t stop. I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to know that someone cares about justice and will give voice to the truth. Not in an effort to throw stones at the leaders, but to hold them accountable and thereby love and protect people. You’re giving hope here.

My family went to see Benny at a local Full Gospel church (charismatic/pentecostal) I was about 7 or so. I don't remember a lot from that time except that he had an interesting accent. Two things I do remember is that there was a young man sitting next to me that was in his late teens who was totally deaf & received healing. He went forward and testified that he could indeed hear that night. The other thing that stands out is that when Benny was leaving the sanctuary, he came down the aisle which happened to be pretty close to where we were. Everyone was standing at this time as it was the closing of the meeting. As Benny passed by people were falling back into their seats. I remember this because while I was aware the service was near the end, I was not paying a lot of attention to much else and I was still short enough as a child that I couldn't see Benny over the crowds of people. I also had no preconceived notion of what should happen if he passed by. But I remember suddenly falling into my seat too! Immediately I asked my mom who also fell back into her seat, "What just happened?" She explained it was the power of the Holy Spirit. I'm not sharing this to defend Benny. Through the years I have had a healthy respect for him but I have also had serious obvious issues with his teachings on prosperity as well as the other things that we all can cite. As I look back remembering and considering I'd say that my focus was always on God doing things despite the vessel, that might even be stranger than the man ever imagined. So I never really focused on Benny. I know the Lord has caused me to see things that absolutely defy reason, and as I am typing this I am well aware that what I am sharing is way too heavy a topic to be discussed here on YT. I just want to say God was in the middle of the mess. He always is & will be until thing get wrapped up down here. I would like to say that I appreciate Costi Hinn immensely. I don't follow his ministry but he has spoken out about his uncle and separated from Benny's ministry. So I have shared a memory that maybe kind of like a stone in my shoe. I've pondered, wondered and talked to God about this and things like it over the years. My focus remains on Jesus. As I'm typing this a Justin Rizzo song comes to mind. The Lord is gracious, sow to anger...Well he sure is! That is for sure. Benny & Mike both get to hit delete and go on too! But God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows that also he shall reap. But if sown in the spirit of grace no longer under the law...I cry out for mercy and grace because He is the only one able & worthy to judge. Many of these guys are gonna find themselves amazed that God didn't strike them down. The best thing that can happen to them is they have no more ministry. Then they are forced to face the Lord and others in a way they have not before. I could chat about this if we were in person, but as I said, it really is a weighty topic which requires much reverence and clarity.

I agree completely! Winger is charismatic as well so this isn’t making sense to me why people won’t listen. Praying that people will open up to it. It is worth watching! Does include a lot of recent examples. Not just a blast to the past. One issue I have with many healing videos is there is no context for what healing happened. It is more about stirring emotion. I do believe in healing and have experienced it myself. Actually, very low key and was a surprise.

Winger isn't a charismatic. He's a continuationist. Big difference. Charismatics speak in tongues. Winger is on record saying that he believes tongues are languages. He comes out of the Calvary Chapel tradition, just like Hank Hanegraaff did when he was attacking charismatics. Winger has a track record of doing attack videos on charismatics but no similar attack videos on cessationists or Calvinists like John MacArthur. Plus, he has a tendency to misrepresent the facts on people he opposes, like when he misquoted one of the authors of The Physics of Heaven, or when he claimed that Brian Simmons said he was going to add a chapter to John. The Objective Believer is doing some excellent response videos to Winger's 4.5 hour diatribe on Benny Hinn.

@@JewandGreek Objective Believer is not objective. Winger kept saying he made many attempts to get comment from Hinn. He has continued to do so since the video was released. And also said that what he reported was nothing new in the world. (Oddly enough, it sounds like the same voice of another KZfaq channel that does go after prosperity preachers.) The fact Hinn keeps scamming people, overlooks failed prophecy (Israel one can’t be ignored) while he is growing in influence again certainly needs to be addressed. Also, the simple fact the Brian Simmons wants to go back to heaven to bring back John 22 to reveal to the world is heresy and downright gnostic. Physics of Heaven had a lot of problems aside from that one argument and was pulled off the shelves as a result. Bill Johnson has had to distance himself from it a bit as well. Mike has never hidden that he is from Calvary Chapel. His main focus has been to answer questions about scripture, not heresy hunter type videos. Joel Osteen is not charismatic but more prosperity gospel, but he did a video about how the focus of a particular sermon was self instead of God. I am charismatic, and not unusual to find other charismatics who aren’t sold on tongues for various reasons. There are charismatic churches that don’t have a big focus on tongues these days. Charismatic simply believes that the gifts are for today, which is the same as what Continualism is. Two different words for the same concept. Pentecostalism does teach that tongues are necessary to prove baptism of Holy Spirit. Winger has never claimed to be Pentecostal.

I watched the Winger video on Hinn, and while he made some valid points a lot of what he said was just venting about a guy he clearly doesn't care for. For example, he was supposedly just taking issue with Benny's methods, but then he dove into the Little Gods doctrine, which Benny renounced in 1993. Then he brought up the nine member godhead teaching which he admits Benny also renounced in 1993. Why bring up doctrines that Benny hasn't taught for 30 years? Then he started with the namecalling, using words like "scumbag". He said Benny Hinn is going to hell. Winger admits that he's emotionally invested in this because one of Benny's "victims" had pancreatic cancer, and his mother died from that. So if you're going to watch Winger's video, you need to be just as discerning with what Winger does as you are with what Benny does. For an analysis of Winger's video you should probably watch The Objective Believer's response videos.

I went to a crusade when I was a very young Christian. He invited young people who ‘want the anointing’. I ran on stage, he prayed for me and I flew across the stage. I read ‘Good morning Holy Spirit’ and it blew me away. I watched Mike Winger’s expose. Benny Hinn is as whacked as it gets. I started to believe that years before I ever saw Winger’s video. I have no idea how to marry up how I flew 15 feet across the stage with the fact that Benny is so shockingly anti-scriptural. It doesn’t matter. Insofar as Benny Hinn teaches craziness, we must test it and call it out. ‘Don’t touch God’s anointed’ is the stupidest most arrogant trash the way it’s used 95% of the time. Every time I hear one of the people say that when they are ridiculously anti-scriptural all I hear is a creepy weirdo saying don’t you dare criticize me.

I will definitely watch it. Thank you. I know someone who has worked for DayStar. They told me they were flabbergasted and sickened by how the leaders and staff would treat Benny Hinn like royalty every time he’d show up for a recording at their studio. This same person I know also met his nephew, Costi Hinn, who is now a minister and openly shares his experiences as a young man working within Benny Hinn’s extravagant ministry. Costi loves his uncle, and has lovingly confronted him through the years. Bill Johnson and Lou Engle have been on stage with Benny Hinn. Paula White and Benny Hinn were seen walking out of a Hotel in Italy, holding hands years ago, when Benny was separated from his wife. It’s past time for the prosperity gospel to be exposed and shut down completely. This nonsense is preventing the body of Christ to be empowered with God’s truth. Everything hidden must be uncovered.

The prosperity gospel preachers are slowly dying off. "Jerry Savelle, author and televangelist who penned over 70 books and preached the prosperity gospel all across the world, died April 15 at the age of 77." Benny Hinn, 71, will be gone before you know it. Kenneth Copeland, 87, already has one foot in the grave. Mike Bickle was the opposite on financial matters, living a modest public lifestyle (apparently) with his old Honda, cheap shoes, and duplex home, but he preached the spiritual prosperity gospel. Give sacrificially of your time and money, with extra fasting, worship, etc., and you'll be spiritually rich with healing power, signs and wonders, prophecies, gifts of the Spirit, blah blah blah. Bob Jones was also a spiritual prosperity gospel preacher. He was even more extreme than Bickle and came up with the most ridiculous spiritual prosperity message, replete with greater power than the first apostles, healing every sickness, never dying, and a billion soul harvest. And of course his Third Heaven At Will nonsense.

@@HushHush-xt7so Agree. Actually, I didn’t pay close attention to Mike Bickle and his messages. But the experiences I had when visiting IHOPKC, while traveling through KC on vacation, were some of the most pure, uplifting, and transformative I’ve ever had in my life. I will not believe those experiences were from witchcraft or smoke and mirrors. I believe that the young people ministering there had pure hearts and motives. And the Lord saw that and wanted to meet with them there in that place. For these men (and women) to willfully corrupt and sully the purity of young people in the way they have really needs to be dealt with in a very public way. This should be front and center with the great awakening so many are talking about.

If the Charismatic community won't hold their "own" accountable then God is going to use someone like Mike Winger who doesn't see eye to eye on some majors things with those who identify as charismatic. For instance... "women in ministry." There would be a divide on that one for many... but it should not cause him to be dismissed across the board. The truth is the truth regardless and some in the Charismatic community just need to humble themselves and listen. God is the one dealing with this. It's clear people are being taken advantage of through some of these manipulative tactics. Like the guy you mentioned who wanted to tap into the devils ways by lying about a miracle to stir up faith? Watched Winger’s video when it first came out. Appreciated most of it. When there are thousands in the audience, I think it would not make sense to invite people on stage to pray for them. I can fully understand vetting people who want to come on stage to proclaim they have experienced healing. Do some come on stage proclaiming they were healed and perhaps really believing they were healed when they were not? I expect so- despite the gatekeeper. So what should be done? I don’t know the answer, but my thoughts are that perhaps it is better to not have people testify to healings on stage. If people really are getting healed, just let the glory go all to Jesus. Let the testimony be to people who were friends and relatives and coworkers who knew the person had stage 4 cancer and was later declared cancer-free or was deaf and can now hear, or whatever. It does not matter who was praying or speaking at the arena. Those are my thoughts. I KNOW some people are healed. I have never been healed of something big, but of little things that felt big to me (like menstrual cramps- which I had very, very bad), and things like headaches. Ok- that sounds like nothing to most people- but the first time I wasn’t even a Christian yet and I was shocked when the pain left immediately and completely when someone prayed for it to go away. I also saw others healed including a small baby. Healing is for real. However, for whatever reason(s), it is only occasional rather than for every person, every time. We don’t know the big picture and why God does what He does. We just need to know He is Good, and worship Him even though things don’t always make sense to us. I am especially glad that Winger made the video because of Hinn’s prosperity doctrine and return to soliciting money by preying upon those who are desperate. Blaise, love your spirit and videos. I look forward to your videos- those with and without your beautiful wife- more than any other KZfaq videos.

I had the most crazy experience going to see Benny in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the victory Bible Institute back in the early 2000s. I had just come to Christ and was just as gung ho as I could ever be. When they told me to empty my bank account in faith, believing God would fill it back up again, I did it! Several times… And then I had to borrow money to pay for gas from the woman who is letting me live with her…😅😂 Well, one night when Benny he came, he was waving his handkerchief, and everyone was falling down all around me, and I remember saying to myself, “I really wanna know what that is like. But I know it’s from God.” He waved his little Kleenex at me and literally everyone in the crowd of people who I was standing with fell down all around me almost at the same time. The sheer overwhelm and emotion I felt did make me feel slightly weak in the knees, but I stood my ground and I refocused, and he and I were staring at each other… Him from the stage and me on the ground, surrounded by all these people laying all over the floor. He kept waving his handkerchief at me specifically, and it was matter and matter because I felt like he was getting frustrated that I was not responding like everyone else. I don’t know what he was thinking, but that was just how I felt. Then he kind of gave this dismissive wave and went on to talk about demonic opposition in the midst! And I felt like he was kind of talking about me.😂 I ended up leaving and crying the entire way home because I was so confused and disappointed. The lady I was living with ended up talking to me about how God does not bring confusion and he is not manipulative. She could not explain why I didn’t follow over , and I couldn’t explain it or understand it either. I’m glad I remained authentic and because of that experience, I have adapted to be very careful about paying attention to the environment, and what kind of music is being played when I church or conference. I have realized that I am so susceptible to being manipulated Out of even good and righteous intentions. I want to be moved by guide and I want to have encounter and I’m not scared of falling in the floor, but I have learned to ask, “what is the fruit, what is the purpose, does it actually change my life, how does it bring other people to Christ? Does it display the Fruits of the Spirit?“ I have met a lot of people who I love and believe are bearing positive positive fruit as a result of his ministry… And I think that also just goes to show you that the grace of God is real and evident to protect his message and his holiness. God is willing to allow us to glean, even when the land is fallow. he allows us to bear fruit even when we don’t always get it right.

Great story. I love the people who refuse to bow to famous ministers when everyone else does.
@quirkyCourtney

Well, and I’m not sure if everyone else was intentionally “bowing down“. I think my greatest take away from this experience is how acceptable we all are to being emotionally influenced to the point where we are physically acting in a way that we believe is authentic, even if it may not be. Maybe… It is completely authentic, but it is not real. I mean when I say that is maybe the people are doing it wholeheartedly and without discernment. But I guess there’s always the possibility that it really was real and I was not affected by it. that’s why it is so important to discern. And to learn how to discern. That just takes a lot of practice.

Very interesting comment! I think it's important to hear all the stories and testimonies and be balanced. As you said, there are negative testimonies and positive ones... what do we do with that mixture? We have to figure that out! We have to find a good way. Not condemning and judging everyone just because he doesn’t do everything right. But also be critical and hold ministers accountable.

If we're going to get serious about cleaning house, like Blaise is, addressing recent past (Mike Bickle) and not recent past (his model, William Branham), somebody has to call out Christ For The Nations, or its founder, who platformed Branham. You look up the history, and it was Gordon Lindsay who started the magazine Voice of Healing. He started it for Branham, to market his ministry, then developed it to add other ministers, but its focus was always Branham. It became one of the most widely circulated magazines to charismatics at the time during the "healing revival." It was Lindsay who went further than anyone else to promote Branham, and wrote the book, William Branham: A Man Sent from God. Gordon Lindsay was either cluelessly deceived or deliberately deceiving. Either he knew Branham was a fraud or he didn't. It seems more likely he didn't discern him, which would be significant as a top leader in the charismatic movement being totally clueless about another leader in the same movement from the beginning and for decades. Just because a charismatic minister thinks another charismatic leader like Mike Bickle, William Branham, or Benny Hinn is legit, doesn't prove anything. As Blaise says, you have to review the evidence.

My uncle, who was a tv/movie star from the 50/60/70’s was at one of Benny Hinn’s crusades. I believe Benny pulled him up onstage just for an attention grab. He was prayed for and made a spectacle of, and was not healed. Very disappointed to say the least.

If someone will not consider watching or listening to, a video about someone that has potentially caused harm to the body of Christ, then that person doesn’t love the body of Christ, they love themselves and their reputation, therefore does not love Christ and His Word. Period. Someone ought to care for things like this if they life God’s people.

@@maxemrich8778 submitting to a man as a spirit head. Jesus alone is spirit head to his spirit body. It is man’s rules taught on top of gods rules. Isaiah 28:13 wrongly interpreted. It is teaching the curse of the fall in genesis 3 as divine order. A husband and wife are a picture of Jesus and his bride in the natural. A reflection. Not a spiritual reality. In the spirit realm, if they are both saved, they are brothers. Lots more to say. But this is the gist of it. The structure of a corporation hierarchy imposed onto true believers becomes as the picture of Leviathan in Job 41 shows. The scales/shields/heads of his belly so tightly knit that no air/light gets in. True believers swallowed up. Wrong authority, the spirit of whoredoms is behind this, because it seduces out from under the Holy Spirit.

@@Paul-Johnathan I’ve felt a very strong anointing in his meetings. I attended one live in the 90’s. He is anointed. He has stopped at the power gift level of spirit growth. This allows error to come in and mixture. He must purge his heart and allow inner healing and deliverance, undoing the works of the enemy in his soul. Power gifts are jot ultimate maturity in Christ. Having Christ formed within is. Father level stage of spirit growth.

@@lolabear6788thanks, I get your points, more or less:) I know this topic, it's interesting... I probably would agree with you in most things, as it sounds like. Well, but now specifically with regards to Benny Hinn, what do you mean? Like, he has somebody as his spiritual head (covering)? Who? And that's like the key problem he has, you mean? And why it's a problem - because of the doctrine of covering per se, or because of the person who is kind of above him? Or is it that he asumes that e is a head for many people..? You see, many questions... like what do you mean more specifically? Thanks

Speaking as a long time, 50 years, Charismatic… I thought Winger’s vid was very good. For too long we have looked the other way and made excuses for weirdness and fraud. Kinda like the way people cover up for known sexual sin in their Pastoral staff. Afterall, we must protect “the ministry”. Oh, and our jobs.

Many ministers or “ministers” at least in the charismatic circles don’t want to watch. They say it causes division, is a form of touching the Lord’s anointed, it’s accusation, it’s just another distracted armchair theologian wasting their time tearing people apart when they could be preaching the Gospel, etc. BUT it’s just an excuse for them to stay comfortable in their ways of doing things. If someone like Benny Hinn could possibly be wrong, it would make them wrong. It’s a thread that, when unraveled, leads to the deeper, more hidden heart-issues and corruption that are largely at play in MANY, MANY church fellowships. My husband and I know handfuls of ministers and entire congregations that say they “know” people like pastor Benny or other well-known leaders. But they do not. You don’t know a person until you are with them regularly outside of a green room or have access to their methods, behaviors, and thoughts in the more hidden places. Just because someone weeps over Jesus or has thousands of people who declare what a great man someone is doesn’t mean it’s true. My history in my born-again relationship with Christ contains many moments of profound encounters with Jesus in Benny Hinn’s meetings and the meetings of his relatives. I led worship, was in the green room often, and was briefly on staff at the well-known ministry of someone very close to him who operates in much of the same way. I was one of their and pastor Benny’s number 1 supporters. I would have given my life (literally, in every way) for the cause of their ministries because it was slowly impressed upon us through their teachings and their elevation of the “vision” God gave the house that it equated faithfulness to Jesus. I say all of this to say, the character difference I have witnessed first-hand along with countless others between what is on stage and what is in private is absolutely disgusting and nothing short of emotionally and spiritually abusive. I’m not offended, but I am grieved. Like Mike Winger has said, there are actual lives being destroyed by these ministries. People are being manipulated and controlled by the droves and then dropped like hot potatoes if they don’t continue in the conformity of the “vision”. They couldn’t care less what the condition of the flock of God is. As long as there is money to fund their vision coming out of the pockets of other people, they will not stop for anything. And I would not even say that their main motivation is money (it may be), but selfish gain in general. Also a side note, although I believe there are real healings that take place in these meetings (I’ve seen it), my husband happen to be one where he was called out of the crowd that had come to the front, and pastor Benny grabbed his hand and told him that the Spirit of God was all over him, and that He was healing him right now. He said it several times in front of the whole congregation and on the livestream of the church that was hosting him. Last time I check a year or so ago, that service is still on the ministry’s KZfaq. My husband was on crutches for a severe injury to his ankle that prevented him from putting any weight on it at all. He was told to test it out multiple times even though he kept shaking his head to one of the assistants/catchers who works for pastor Benny (and happened to be a friend of ours) and saying it felt the same and it hurt really bad to test it. My husband had put his crutches down and tried to fully walk on it like normal when it was completely injured. He wasn’t able to walk on it for over a year even after that night. The attention was immediately deferred elsewhere and they moved on with the service and left my husband standing there with the crutches. We were asked to come to the green room after the service bc pastor Benny knew my husband, and but he didn’t realize it was him when he was praying for him. And even though we clearly told him my husband was not healed, he never went back and retracted what he said about God healing my husband in front of everyone. The whole room had cheered, I was weeping bc I had prayed and prayed and prayed that God would heal my husband for months, and I thought that moment was the moment I would see my him healed. But everyone was left to believe a healing had taken place when it hadn’t. Anyway, just wanted to share for anyone who was like us who were afraid to listen to critiques for fear of causing division or what not. I’m so grateful I finally began to ask questions about some sketchy things I had witnessed. It saved my family and I from being run into the ground even further than we already had been. We shouldn’t be afraid of biblical truth. If we are afraid of the light of truth coming in, it could be a very keen indication that we are participating in darkness and are unwilling to reconsider our misplaced allegiance. Another thing that caught our attention before leaving the congregation whose pastor is related to pastor Benny, was the teachings. More specifically when they began throwing in comments about other ministries and other people that, if you knew this ministry or person, you knew who they were referring to without saying their name. They also began hitting hard on teaching against accusation, gossip, etc and championing the (false) humility of remaining silent at all costs. And these teachings would conveniently fall just before someone came out about the disgusting, anti-Christian abuses at their hands behind the scenes.

Where in scripture are we commanded or told to make exposing our life ministry? If those who call themselves Christians will read the Word of God, they will not be deceived. This is no more scriptural, than those he is accusing. We are commanded by Jesus to preach the gospel to every creature, Mark 16:15. Let us be about our Father's business. This kind of garbage is disgusting. Hosea 4:6,"For my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge, because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee..." read and study for yourself!
