Hello everyone! My name is Vasil, and I'm restoring my 1974 Columbia 45. In this episode I'm taking the time to celebrate the progress that has been made with this boat so far. Thank you for watching and Happy New Year!!

You’ve done pretty well securing the mooring and being able to stay aboard is a huge plus. Looking forward to following your adventures only advice I can give you mate is don’t take shortcuts and half arse things. Greetings from Australia mate. 🇦🇺👍.

Thank you Craig! No short cuts will be taken unless absolutely necessary. Personally, I can't stand taking shortcuts and doing this improperly.

That makes sense. I was thinking the whole time that it would be easier to fix the issues with inboard motor, but you were rushing to get out of there with a more solid solution. What's the mooring fee on your mooring. Just looked up some fees over there and I saw prices like $150 per month. It doesn't seem too steep.

At the moment I'm in "transient" or temporary status, so that runs $225 per month. Once you move to permanents status the ball that I'm currently on should be $128 per month. This is so amazingly cheap compared to being at a marina. Marina fees around here for a 45' boat would be anywhere from $800-1200 + per month. I'm also glad that it's making more sense now. I hate rushing things, but I unfortunately did not have the luxury of time. So thankful for the ability to stay longer on this mooring!
