Im 37 and childfree, people still think i’m in my early 20s (a benefit of not having kids). I sleep in on weekends, go hiking, work on my various hobbies and play video games in my spare time. I do what I want, when I want and I love it! Having kids is not the end all be all nor is it significant in the grand scheme of things. More parents are depressed than their childfree counterparts. My own parents were depressed and my dad openly admitted to not wanting kids. He was also an abusive POS. I don’t see anything wrong with choosing this lifestyle and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

On a certain level, they’re proving women’s point. A woman having a fun, Saturday is triggering to them because they can only see a woman as a workhorse. A woman is not supposed to have a fun Saturday. A woman takes on all the responsibilities, so a man can have a fun Saturday.

I'm a 48 year old Christian woman. I never married, i never had kids. I didn't date outside the church because i didn't want to be unequally yoked. Last time a dated a "Christian" turned out to be a covert narcissist who discarded me as if I were a piece of trash when i was sick with cancer. After that I decided I'll be alone. There are no men worth dating in church and outside it is even worse. I found happiness with being with God alone.

I and my siblings had an absolutely miserable childhood because my parents got married at 21 so they could bone. They were way too young and wildly unprepared to be parents and we suffered for it. For that and several other reasons I decided to not have children. I didn't want to accidentally inflict my trauma on them. That has been the right choice for my life and I have no plans to change it.

That's what I've done and that's what I'm doing. And I have no regrets. And right now I'm sitting in my nice quiet house, in a soft leather chair in my bedroom, planning things like a backyard garden, my next international trip, how to spend my Saturday and what to make for dinner.
