I legit saw this a couple of hours ago and just came back from a korean grocery store around my place to buy the ingredients for this and make buchujeon!! Maangchi made me crave them so much that I had to go out and make a long trip to the grocers! Now off to making buchujeon!!!

Nice! How'd it go? Seems so easy but sometimes it's tough to get the thickness and crispy edges.

@@StaySpicy it went well for the most part and tasted great! I fried my pancakes on low-medium heat and spread out my pancakes as evenly as I could. Swishing the pan around and checking every few minutes to see if it was browning evenly. I cooked on low to medium heat so that all parts of the pancake would cook at the same time. I had an old stove and the middle part kept cooking later than the edges so I had to watch the heat and press down on it sometimes to cook that part. I kept adding a few splashes of oil per new pancake I made to keep them crispy. Id say just keep an eye on it and control the heat as well. It’s definitely worth the effort.

I went to H mart yesterday and was only able to buy Chinese chives. They were strangely out of Korean chives. Have you used Chinese chives for this recipe before?

I make this jeon often, it's a favourite of mine. I usually make a sauce with sesame, soy, gochugaru and ginger to go with it. Mashisoyo!

In Iran we make chive pancake too but instead of flour we use lots of eggs spices walnut and some dried sour fruits 🥰 I love chives

I love these types of pancakes. The chive flavor is delicious. I generally like to dip the package in some sort of sauce-- something savory, sweet, and a little hot..... or to roll around a piece of roast pork and shrimp.
