We are building an off grid solar power system to run completely run our modern home. Although we are not tied into the electrical grid our home still has modern appliances, air conditioning and electronics. Our plan has always been to add on to our solar power system as finances and time allow so that's exactly what we are doing. By adding 20 new solar panels and 2 charge controllers to our existing system we will be generating 3x the power. This means that even when a series of cloudy days hit we will still be able to run our home as if it were a sunny day. We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.

Josh is what us contractors call a skilled journeyman. He is patient and takes his time and makes his wiring clean. This level of detail is what makes fellow electricians proud to see other people take pride in their work and trade. Hats off to you.

Agreed. Unfortunately, this is a rapidly dying breed of man. People lack passion, motivation, and common knowledge... (Or uncommon nowadays) The OCD factor plays a pretty important role in perfection as well. When you find employees like Josh, you do EVERYTHING possible to keep them around. Because if you think skilled labor is expensive......... You should see what unskilled labor costs. Yikes. Anyhow.....take care! GOD BLESS AMERICA! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Being a journeyman myself, it is refreshing to see there are still some sparkys that actually care about their work. It's almost rare to see anymore. Amazing job, Josh. No spaghetti and meatballs in any of your boxes.

As a former electrician's mate on US Submarines, I can fully appreciate the tight quarters and high VDC work. Nice job, and most people have no idea what it takes, both knowledge and tenacity to complete a project like this. All the best.

I've got to comment on this... Josh's skills aside, and please know that we are in awe of those skills.... Erin's filming and editing and added music score excellence make it all watchable for me. I watched this from start to finish and loved every minute of it. I know nothing about electrical work but Josh makes it interesting. The cat on his shoulder was hilarious. Erin’s camera work and editing is so awesome. I love watching the these two, their love for each other shines through in everything they do.

Sometimes I see Josh’s mouth moving and I hear sound, although I have no clue what he’s talking about.........! It appears to me he knows what he is doing, does his work to a high standard and is very safety conscious. Just one of the many things I have learned to really enjoy about this channel! Here, Here.... I agree with all. It is a great honor watching Josh doing what he dose best. His patience and detail oriented is over the top, you don't have to look too hard to see this. I love the way he pays attention when he put the cable the terminal bocks to make sure he doesn't crimp the screws onto the shielding. (I have not seen many do this lately.) kudos Josh!!!
