I'm new to meditation, I'm recovering from a horrible nervous breakdown that suddenly hit me about 5 or 6 months ago, after struggling with it for months almost giving up and taking my own life I finally reached out for help and started therapy and mindfulness meditation a couple of weeks ago, I just stumbled on this meditation last night, it's so beautiful it makes me cry, I'm finally seeing a bright light at the end of a very dark scary tunnel 😥🤗❤️🙏

@@GinaMartina2023 I'm a lot better now thank you, meditation is now part of my daily routine and will always be. Mindfulness meditation was just the start of my journey, the first step, I've since progressed to practicing more spiritual "I am" awareness meditation, non-duality, the teachings of Eckhart Tolle, Rupert Spira, Mooji, Sunny Sharma etc, it has opened my eyes to things, or rather one main thing, that I wasn't aware off. In simple terms I suppose you could call it a spiritual awakening, it's helped me immensely, anxiety and others issues of the ego mind are becoming less and less relevant to me ❤️

"May I be Happy. May I be safe" This was supposed to be calming but I started sobbing because that is all I want. That's what I need. I've been lacking happiness and safety for so long, this really caught me off guard.

Talk about being caught off guard. Upon the urging of a friend I attended my 1st yoga class recently. I was SO relaxed during Shrivastava that I just couldn't keep but crying. Thankfully the instructor was wonderful & had obviously seen this before. She quietly came over to me telling me it was perfectly ok to cry & began massaging my neck. Her tender words & actions did more to relax me than anything else I've tried so far (yoga) but, again, it was to actions of the instructor that left a lasting impression. Give yoga a chance if you haven't already. I wish you peace ⚘

I promised myself to meditate everyday for 30 days. Im at day 10. Never have I been able to keep a promise to myself without breaking it. I feel confident that I am going to reach my goal! Thank you.

I just want to let you know that this is the perfect meditation. I like the part where you just let us breathe and listen to the rain sounds for a little bit and then you chime back in.....This is a great meditation for those who are beginners doing guided meditations ...because you actually give us a minute to breathe on our own in the silence of the rain.... thanks for helping me change my life!

@@INICK84 Don't worry, we are all like that, just learn to accept it and let the thoughts go by. After a while they will be less and less distractions.

I'm 54 I've had anxiety my whole life I can remember specific instances of feeling it as a very small child, it eventually got too much and completely out of control and I had a severe nervous breakdown about 5 or 6 months ago, after struggling for months completely lost thinking there was no hope and planning to end my life I finally reached out for help a few weeks ago, now I'm getting CBT and doing mindfulness meditation and I can see a bright light at the end of the very dark and scary tunnel that I thought I was lost in forever. Mindfulness meditation is hugely powerful I didn't realise that until recently, and this one in particular is one of the best I've found, the positive way that it makes me feel is profound it's amazing.

I’m so sorry. I cried too. My daddy passed in Sept. last night I had to give my husband the Heimlich maneuver bc he was choking. He’s fine and he says I saved his life. That was traumatic too. I’m gonna need a few more of these meditations I think. ❤️‍🩹

No one really ever gets rid of anxiety. You address it and understand how to overcome it in that moment. Anxiety is a normal human response and is necessary to survival, however dysfunction occurs when you are not able to calm it or properly address your anxiety with solutions. The meditation allows you time to figure out how to address your anxiety. The meditation is not actually what “rids” anxiety from anyone.

Love the sound of the rain in the background. Someone mentioned one day they didn't like it that it's not peaceful or the ocean sounds I love it. What I really wanted to say was that maybe because you're not at rest or at peace. 💯

Probably the best guided meditation I’ve ever done. I keep coming back to it, especially the quote at the end. Self love can be a difficult journey but this quick reminder is so potent to bring me back to the present and be my own source of comfort. Thanks Tamara !

I must say this meditation has helped me immensely tonight. I was going through some dark heavy feelings and this meditation along with journaling right after has really lifted the heaviness. Now I'm feeling gratitude that I now get to learn how to understand my emotions and self-soothe. Your words in the video were very beautiful and helpful. Thank you so much ♥️✨

I needed this today. I discovered this morning that someone had blocked me, and my heart was in so much pain that I just distracted myself from it all day. You're absolutely right; as a child I was never taught how to handle all these painful emotions. I've been learning a lot these past 3 yrs, but I struggle with self soothing because it requires sitting with the emotions. I wanted to numb them because I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. But I'm trying to be brave and actually learn to comfort myself through them instead of avoiding them. This meditation will definitely be useful for learning this skill. Thank you!!!

If your reading this have a nice sleep. There is no need to not be relaxed at night because its darker, its just like daytime but when your eyes are closed. Think about how msny ways tommorow will be nicer than today , then push all your thoughts away and think of them in the morning

This is the best thing ever!!! I always meditate at night. I imagine that i was walking to the sky until i reach the cloud and when i am ontop of the cloud i see a sign that says heaven. I also see angles flying. I pictured the narator as a beutiful angel that is giving me meditation She gave me a tool which is a mirror with a zipper so when i pull that zipper i am in a better place which is calm and when i close the zipper i am back on the place i were. When she ring the bell i was sended back to earth. Thanks calm this is helpful

get curious! I think that social distancing is good, but the media can really play it up. The way they present information, for example graphs, and even real people who have covid, can be deceiving and not paint a true portrait of the situation. For example, the media really likes to focus on the increasing infection rates. According to the CDC(www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html) and US population estimates from 2019, the percentage of infections is 0.32371907373%, and the death percentage is 0.01901462522%. According to ourworldindata.org/grapher/total-deaths-covid-19 and world population estimates, world death percentages are at 0.00298% This is all as of 5/2/2020, I hope this helps.

​@@danielgilzean1354 We all are in this. I live in Colombia...South America, and Covid 19 put us all inside out houses. Try not to see much Tv and news, this makes anxiety grows. Make things you never made before and keep in mind that virus is out there for real, but inside you are putting a grain of sand to stop this situation! It is not slavery or so, is just a way to stop the desease! keep safe, be safe! Pray !!

As I heard the rain, I imagined myself on a summers day, sitting in my backyard on the ground and my mom watching over my shoulder, inside the house. It brought me so much peace. Thank you for this meditation it was the perfect mix of talking, background noise, and a great message.

Every time Im having a panic attack or just cant calm down from some type of panicing i search this from my calm playlist and it always works Im so thank full for the person that made this video so thank you❤️ you saved me so many times from panic attacks and other things❤️❤️❤️

I just tried this after experiencing a lot of anxiety today and I feel so, so much better. I also start my morning off with your Daily Calm Present video, and I just want to thank you for making these videos available. They are so useful and so relaxing. I especially enjoy your pauses throughout the video, as it provides space to just breathe and exist without focusing too much on words or thoughts.

I woke up in utter panic this morning due to a horrific dream that felt so real I thought it was really happening. I found this meditation and used it to help calm me down. The fright hasn’t completely gone but it has enabled me to come back to reality enough to tell my body it’s okay, you’re safe, it wasn’t real. Thank you.

Blessings to you all. The practice of mindfulness is the holistic process of becoming self aware in the current state of your physical, mental and spiritual existence. Our self mastery stems from the knowledge that our minds are very powerful and that it is constantly shaping our realities and the manner in which we engage in the world as we perceive it. Like the masterful captain of a ship at sea, we must navigate our way through the never-ending waves of our own thoughts and feelings, being able to discern those that have been artificially produced and unconsciously suppressed while accessing the inner compass of our greater selves as a guiding North Star. To be mindful is to also engage with intent in order to deliver meaning to our actions, to become one with our true nature to access the divine force so that we may manifest from true inspiration. Being mindful is to be in the here and now, where no past exists and no future need be concerned, the actively conscious form of surrendering. Carry no judgements, ill-will nor machinations of ever-morphing thoughts, as the practice of mindfulness is to reconnect us with those greater aspects of ourselves where kindness and compassion thrives. I loved this much needed self nurturing mindful meditatiin i learned it from councelling its been a while since i practiced its surfaced emptions brought tears to my eues i feel so grateful this was a much needed comfort for me i give gratitude for sharing this particular 1 thank u

Thank you for this video I was told a while ago mindfulness was bad but this was so soothing and healing. I had a very stressful few days and I didn’t want to turn towards my prior self destructive habits of coping with difficulty (overeating, binge eating and doom scrolling social media) I turned to this video and this mediation guidance gave me more resources and compassion then my last five years of therapy and inner healing courses. Thank you so much for this video! I will continue to go back to it when I need it.

Whenever I utter the “may I be happy, may I be safe” I honestly start giggling- and it’s the most cathartic feeling I’ve had in a while because it feels so genuine to say it to myself I’ve been having a lot of emotional issues lately but this meditation has helped me so much Thank you so very much 😊😊

As a teenager who has a lot on their mind (like most i suppose), but isn't someone to talk to someone about it, I decided to try this right now I am at day 3. And I do like to do it! I meditate right before sleeping so I am totally calm and not thinking too much. I hope I will continue this!

Love Tamara L & these short Calm meditations...for me I turn the order around #1 May I feel safe, #2 May my heart feel at peace, #3 May I be happy. If I don't feel safe my heart won't feel at peace & that would make being happy more of a challenge... All the very best☀️🌼🐝
