I mean... maybe? Tbh, I feel like it works more for physical deformities/birth defects rather than depression, because while depression is difficult to cure, it's still something that cAN be cured. So like, if it's with a birth defect or physical deformity, it could be comparable to "you can't read my texts properly? just get new eyes" or "if you can't reach the food, just grow a new arm", or even something mental like "stop having autism" in short, idk, periods are something we are made to have since birth unless a. you're barren, b. you're male, or c. you were born with amenorrhea (this excludes all factors that can temporarily end periods like birth control or a severe mental illness, you still got a period, it just ended temporarily)
