Try feeding that cable through those ferrules after cutting them with a pair of side cutters and you’ll go buy a good pair of cable cutters lol. I learned the hard way! Great information as always Dale! I appreciate what you are doing for trapping

New subscribers here, I’ve been catching up on all your old videos as well. I like how you call a spade a spade when it comes to equipment. Your a down to earth guy, keep up the good work. And what kind of tobacco do you chew? I’m a Copenhagen, guy myself
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531

Thanks Rick. I really appreciate you watching. So I swich back and forth. I chewed Red Man for years but when the state of iowa put such a tax on it to where it's now $16 a pkg I had to let it go. No I chew Big Duke and Stokers long cut straight. I can buy a carton of big Duke and 2 big tubs of stokers in Missouri cheaper than 1 carton of Red Man. It's crazy the taxes they put on tobacco. Even the communist can still smoke.

Look into the commercial saltwater industry, for barrel swivels, and the also make what they call a ball bearing swivel. I do not know what they run on the tag

I was building a few today, watched the video and had to build a few more. Your demo on how to load properly really helped, thanks. Do you boil them in backing soda or dye them?
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531
@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 Жыл бұрын
Thanks Snapper. No I never boil snares in baking soda. It will cause them to rust from the inside out. Plus it eats up the ferrules too. I wash them in hot soapy water to remove the oil. Then you can Dye or paint them either 1

What’s your opinion on choke springs. Are they a gimmick? I’ve used both the torsion springs and the coil springs on my snares but with a deer lock I feel I wasted money..
