Ugh, Old Mall is the worst. You can just tell she's got an awful personality both in and out of court. And I've watched every video I can find of this case and in every one she's stumbling over her words and calling both witnesses and Laila by the wrong names. In one video she called laila millie repeatedly thru the entire cross examination. Don't get it twisted, the Rosenbaum's are horrible people who abused both of those girls, but having Old Mall as their lawyer certainly didn't help them any. She blows.

The placement agency which is not DFCS locates, controls and monitors their homes, CCCS goes in each 3 of so months to check out placement agency homes. CPS legal worker goes in monthly and questions should be asked to children if they are ok. In other words, background checks are done by placement agency at the beginning of requesting to be a foster home. Further checks if they were getting ready to adopt, what is needed psychological evaluations of the foster parents should be done, because liars are liars.

You are so right, 5 years ago...365 days x 5, her notes and names, people etc...needed to be in her head. I am a retired CPS worker, one trial, lesson learned, second year with CPS, no testifying experience, it was terrible experience. But after17 years on the job and training and in and out of court I learn those notes will save you, if you take good notes. Those notes have to be entered each month and read by your supervisor for approval. Words like I think, I don't remember the name of day care name etc is scary... and gives the defense a leg up in your her testimony, you got to know your stuff. Note: but be assure that there are some caseworkers that come to court the defense attorney's are afraid of their testimonies, because they are just that good. We do train on testifying, at least when I came along 17 years ago, but it is nothing like the experience, so got the gift and some do not. We also need to think about 60 months of notes...and I would need my notes as well. But sometime the defense attorney will get the judge to not to allow them. grrrrrr

The defense is presenting ( for what it's worth) that Millie fell in a hole in her grandmother's garden, and this top Dcfs consultant went to view the scene, and could not be bothered checking the garden properly, presumably the point being made is that the Dcfs lack forensic capability, and their internal investigation of the Rosenbaum's as "guilty" is not competent.. @@patriciarowe3431 often times busy schedules and passive behavior with some of these case workers are exactly why the system is damaged. But, what is really sad is the ones suffering are these innocent babies. The case workers always say they are doing their job, but I have seen them take things personally and be neglectful of their jobs. They agency that was responsible at the time I fostered has closed down because of many many mistakes that were made. Mistakes that resulted in many children being shuffled around and misplaced. I have wanted to foster again but, I can’t allow that in my home again and my children were affected by the case workers and by the constant harassment of the child’s mother and father. And I will say I saw first hand what is written on those “files” it’s a joke! The girl who worked my case was a child herself. She complained often to me how she had to many cases sometimes working until 10 pm doing home visiting. She had some foster parents with more than 4 children she has has to see each one. IMHO, there should be age limits and emotional maturity levels enforced, within the Foster Care and the children Services Dept., as well. This couple are, obviously emotionally immature, and have had little to no experience in the needs of a foster child. The children have been through traumas, already, usually, with parents who’ve abused them, and/or abused drugs/alcohol, been abused and other traumas. I know it’s very difficult to find foster parents, but the system still needs to rebuild thei requirements for being a foster parent. I would not choose this couple, without them being trained and educated to prepare them for being considered to foster a child, let alone two children. I think the Department which handles these placements, needs to take some responsibility for their decision to choose the Rosenbaums or others who aren’t prepared, as well as this couple, whose actions against these two tiny troubled girls, for participation in the Foster care Program. Just my thoughts. I pray they received adequate sentences for their abuse toward Millie and the death of Laila. 🙏♥️✌️

The whole gymnastics excuse is no different than a kid saying they fell when there parents really abused them. I don't buy it. She's way more likely to get bruises at daycare from other kids than she is at gymnastics. (Definitely not saying it happened at daycare, just saying they would of been more believable if they said that) They have matt's on everything in gymnastics, especially for that age group and they wouldn't be having young kids do gymnastics if they were getting bruises all over their bodies. I don't buy it. I think the foster mom told them to lie or she somehow convinced them that's what happend.
