there was one thing that struck me as a strong indicator of abuse and that was punishing them for falling asleep in the car. Not wanting a 2 and 4 yr old to fall asleep in a car is ludicrous. Most parents would think travelling was blissful if their kids dozed off. And for some, it would be impossible to stay awake. Cruel and unusual punishment which is tantamount to torture.
@Lovinlife12343 жыл бұрын
I thought that odd and torturous too..no children get punished for that...parents hope their kids doze off for a more relaxed quiet trip..I picked up on that automatically as an abuse situation!!
@kristaw26863 жыл бұрын
For sure. Sometimes I will try to keep my little ones awake by tapping on their foot, talking to them, etc because I know they won't go to sleep when we get home if they sleep in the car. But if it happens it happens. I'm not going to be mad about it. That's just life with young kids. I rarely have to deal with them falling asleep in the car anyway because we try to be home for nap time. The Rosenbaums just didn't want to alter their schedule to be sure the little ones were home for nap time as much as possible. They expected the girls to fit into their schedule and agenda, not the other way around.
@ciarad.84173 жыл бұрын
про видение it’s monstrous. When my cousin had his first child she was so full of energy (still is) she never wanted to take a nap let alone sleep at a decent time. So he would take her for car rides which she loved and within 10-15 min she was out like a light. No child should have to suffer like Laila or Millie. My god Laila was still basically a baby; to me anyway. I can’t speak for anyone else.

Yes no one does that to kids while sleeping, she doesn’t have a heart, Mother’s can go Crazy , but always they come back to theirs senses , one of her sisters also said she didn’t hit them in the car were they lying or she didn’t do in-front of them 🥲🤔

@almostanurse2972 жыл бұрын
I agree the system needs an overhaul but even then, there must be people willing to do that government job for very little money, is that you?Also, the check they get in Alabama isn’t even enough to cover childcare costs, much lesss food and other expenses. It’s like 412$ a month (I googled it). The cost to raise a child in Alabama a year is 13,000$ ish. My husband pays almost 1500/month , 351 per WEEK child support for 1 child, that’s in addition to his mother’s contribution so thinking someone volunteered to take kids just to get 431 (each)a month is crazy. Then if it’s the money, why would you hurt your income? This may have happened to their kids if they had any. These people should have had ongoing parenting classes and had very very thorough checks by CPS. Maybe we should pay NFL /Instagram stars a little less and use that money to ramp up the foster system so this doesn’t happen again. Also, the Mom shouldn’t have had her kids taken away. I don’t get it. They leave kids like Gabriel Fernandez with the awful parents then take them away from parents that are actually trying to better themselves. The system money and needs to be put in check.

More likely Laila had refused to eat the chicken and was then attacked for it. Jennifer & Joseph having never had experience raising children of their own, and Jennifer having previously been a foster child herself - should NOT have been considered good foster parent candidates. Many times young adults who have never had children have no idea how to care for them and have NO empathy for other people’s children.

I so disagree with this statement. Yes, no one knows what is the real love for a child is until they get their own. Who really has the experience to raise a child until they raised a child! But no empathy to the point of torturing a child because it is someone else's, you gotta be kidding me! Being a foster child does not mean a person will grow into a sadist.
@almostanurse2972 жыл бұрын
There was no undigested food in her stomach and the struggle the foster parents saw was a seizure due to shock from blood loss. This is according to the forensic pathologist’s testimony. She had a transected pancreas and was bleeding internally from a traumatic event approximately 1 hour before this call. And MANY people who do not or cannot have children foster children because they have a lot of love to give. If it wasn’t for those people who volunteer, this kids may be in group homes. This was a bad situation yes but Shame on you for putting everyone in that same box.

It's the same everywhere in our amazing "developed" countries when it comes to cps. In Germany the Jugendamt (youth welfare office) took the children of a fellow nursing school student, just because she was a single mom and, according to the caseworker, who had never made contact with the family before, was bound to fail to raise her children (there are several cases like this). She reacted swiftly and employed an amazing attorney, and had her kids back within a couple of days. At the same time the Jugendamt placed foster children in the care of known drug users (one of the children died), and in multiple cases with previously convicted pedophiles. And I saw it with my own eyes when I started advanced education for pediatric intensive care (early 2000s). A boy at the age of 6 or 7 was administered to our ward, fractured ribs, a fractured wrist, covered in bruises and what looked like burn marks. That happened in April, and he was in the children's hospital for the second time that year. JA did nothing but talking to the parents, shrug and leave. You really can't eat as much as you want to puke.

I was a wanted drug addict when my daughter was born..she was put in a home with a father who worked from 7a-10p, and a mother of 2 with 3additional fosters.....there were 5other children ranging in age from newborn(my girl) up to 6yrs old .. my daughter spent the first 3 months of her life riding around in a minivan with this woman from 8:00 in the morning to after 4:00 p.m. daily she would take her other children to school run family errands pick them up from school go to gymnastics and then go to ballet.. my daughter ended up with the back of her head flattened took her to a doctor and they said it was from constantly laying or sitting against a hard surface for extended periods of time... The worst part about it is my mom was approved to take temporary custody of my daughter so I could do my time 2 days after my daughter was born she was still in the hospital and the NIC unit, that I had her transferred to 40 minutes from my home the reasoning for doing this is prior to her birth I told the doctor that she would need to be detoxed I did not hide my drug addiction I did not hide my wanting to get my legal stuff straightened out so I wasn't driving down the street and be arrested for my warrants or having my door kicked in with a new baby at home I just thought it would be the best for the situation... I was only allowed to see my daughter 1 hour a week after her birth I was removed physically from the hospital by the police when CPS took temporary custody.... I understand that I was a s***** person and a s***** mom to say the least but it didn't stop me from loving my daughter and wanting to care for her and give her the best wife that I could... The woman who had her was no better at all.... I don't see how you can take a new baby and roll around in a car all over the city all day long and not be acceptable but they didn't want to give her to my mom because my mom lived right across the street from me and they thought that I would have contact with my daughter.... Cases like these come about way too often... After the complaints that I registered against this woman three of her five children were taken away for an adequate care the only ones that she were she was able to keep were the two older ones because they were biologically hers....

I would put money on what really happened. The child would not eat her meal so Millie was sent to her room to watch TV and then they set about forcing the child to eat. As things escalated the child was physically harmed which caused her internal damage and then when it was obvious she was seriously hurt, attempts were made with CPR which did more harm than good. The choking was a cover story. Though kids can choke easily it is more likely that any food that was lodged in her throat was forced there by the adult/s in an effort to make her eat. A stubborn child in a standoff with a stubborn adult can result in at the least a lot off tears and at worse injury and death. I once saw a father (who was not violent and was a doting parent ) , stand over his only daughter who was 6, with a belt in his hand because she refused to eat peas. He never hit her ( in fact I don’t think he ever hit her in her life) but the standoff was there until he produced the belt. She knew she had lost and begrudgingly ate the peas. As he put his belt on again, she spewed the lot back across the table. I was only a child myself just a few months older than her and I vowed then that I would never force anyone to eat something they don’t like. I never have broken that vow and I am nearly 70. So how much MORE violent could a person get who does not love the child ...a lot, that’s how much!

I had a similar experience with my parents, however I was not threatened with any harm. And it was with scalloped potatoes which I use to eat and at supper 1 day i was about 6 or 7 and i don't know the exact reason if i was sick or just didn't want to eat them that day. But i did as i was told and sure enough they got them back, all over the plate was never forced to eat anything we didn't want after that. Until me and my sister had to stay at a aunt & uncle house my mom was in the hospital having her 7th child. And we were having dinner and were told that if we didn't finish our dinner we couldn't go out side so after everyone left I took everything off her plate and mine and am talking green peas some othe veggies because we both only like corn. But i took everything and filled my pants pockets i turn them inside out the best i could.

Wowzers.. evil has no bounds.. big money, lol money no money... I a house keeper by trade and this house is really common. Sometimes people have such a different interpretations of clean.. lived in.. and a mess on a constant basis. I believe you should train yourself and your children to clean as they go!! I have been to Haiti in deep villages, and in the main town.. to jails there and garbage dumps with children at all of these places that make this house look like a grand building, grand living.. there is major toys in there room, every amenity in high favor to money.. in Haiti they live in shakes, poles that hold up tarps with tips and old boards.. children are dirty running everywhere. I have 4 children, I single homeschooled them all for 13 yrs. Until you have been to a 3rd world country, you think a child sleeping in the living room on a couch with a blanket is child abuse. The level of housing and American standards is outrageous. I know its Gods will that no one would PERISH and have eternal life. So going to Haiti seeing evil there, and seeing it here is the same antidote.. JESUS CHRIST GIVES LIFE EVERLASTING. IF YOU REPENT AND MAKE HIM THE LORD OF YOUR LIFE.. HE WILL DIRECT YOUR PATH STRAIGHT. IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE MAKE BELIEVER THAT GOES TO CHURCH AND GIVES 10 PERCENT.. THAT IS NOT GODLY AND IT MAKES THE GOSPEL OF NO EFFECT.. IT IS WRITTEN TO LIVE HOLY, PURE.. BLAMELESS OF SIN.. AND YOU CANNOT.. REPEAT CANNOT DO THAT WITHOUT FIRST KNOWLEDGE OF KNOWING YOUR LOST, WICKED AND HELL BOUND AND NEED HIS GRACE, MERCY AND BLOOD TO CLEANSE YOUR HEART. REPENTANCE IS THE LOVE LANGUAGE OF HEAVEN. IT IS NOT CONFESSION, ITS TURNING 180 DEGREES FROM SIN.. READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF FOLKS.. ITS AN OPEN BOOK TEST. EVERYONE WILL STAND ALONE ON JUDGMENT DAY.. FOR YOUR WORDS, THOUGHTS AND DEEDS.. NOT ONLY MURDERS.. BUT EVERYONE LISTED IN 1 COR 6: 9- 10 .. GET READY BECAUSE YOUR NOT PROMISED TOMORROW. STOP WORRYING ABOUT ANOTHER PERSONS HOUSE AND GET YOUR ETERNAL SALVATION TODAY.. REPENT SINNERS.. TIME IS NOW..

You're right. Having stairs, a tile floor, and colors that are unappealing does not make someone a murderer. I'll tell you what does...beating a child so violently that her pancreas is transected. Do you know what causes a pancreas to be transected? Blunt force trauma to the abdomen. Guess what? She also had a broken leg AND a broken arm. You know what else? She had bruising in her genital and rectal area. I don't know if you're aware that there weren't many areas of her body that didn't have bruising. I also don't know if you're aware that no one here thinks she's a murderer because of her decorating style. We think she's a murderer because she's a subhuman piece of excrement that terrorized and violently murdered a toddler. Just to be clear.

there should be NO MONEY involved in the foster care of children. IF the foster parents can not afford to take on a child then they can't be foster parents. As soon as someone can make MONEY by taking on a child ALL THOSE WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY are going to line up to be foster parents... obviously CPS could give a crap about a single solitary child. otherwise they wouldn't take children away from a crying, pleading , begging on thier hands and knees REAL PARENT and hand them over to strangers. WHO ARE NEVER EVEN INVESTIGATED OR DRUG TESTED ... no one is going to love the child more than the parents. So when a child is removed from their real parents it should NEVER BE ABOUT being poor, or having a messy home, or having drugs in their system... it should only be about ACTUAL ABUSE . such as the kind that Laila and her sister went through they would never have been abused or neglected in the arms of thier real mother who did drugs. Instead. of taking children from parents who have drugs in their system and handing them over to the wolves. CPS should provide a drug rehab program for the parents where the children can also go through with them. This way the parents get real help and the children stay safe and also learn to stay away from drugs this program must not cost the parents a dime. they can take all the money that they were giving to foster parents and use it for the rehab instead. ONLY good people will step forward to be foster parents. and almost all real parents will keep their children WHERE THEY BELONG
