Billboard and the Grammys are not important to a true ARMY. BTS is above any USA artist world wide. The USA organizations artist aren't that great. I stream iheart KZfaq and other streaming services. I stream BTS members, J. Cole, TXT, the Weekend and some of the OGs. I hate the racists and narcissistic members of Billboard and Grammys. After all BTS has an ARMY as a group or individually!

Even Jimin has said during his solo promotions that he wants to continue charting on billboard. It sucks that it means so much to them, but it does. I think it was heartbreaking for them to not get the grammy because they may have seen it as their last opportunity as a group to get one. I don't support bb or the scammys, but I do support BTS, and if they want a grammy and a #1 on bb, I will do what I can for them.

People buy a digital copy and a physical copy because there is a hidden song on the physical copy and there are photo cards that people collect. Taylor swift has 7 different remixes of Lavender Haze and 4 different versions of the original Midnights album, the midnights 3am album, and the special Target album with a hidden track but she doesn’t get hate for manipulating charts. Jimin has 4 remixes of Like Crazy with one being an English version. Also every fan of any artist has the opportunity and just don’t. Regardless it’s not Army’s fault if you don’t care enough about your favorite artists to stream and buy their music. Agree. The highest BTS has gone up the BB was at #10 with Bad Decisions after the rule change their Western collaborations solo activities also didn't chart that high. Jimin reached the top w/o need of that and that shows how good he is. ALL, Hybe and BB were both caught by surprise with JIMIN's success. As for HYBE / BB I don't see any collusions on their part since both were greatly affected by this BB has to gate keep while Hybe has to promote their other artists and tamping down Jimin's FACE success will benefit both of them in the short term, at least since now JIMIN is a big distraction for HYBE's promotional plans for their other artists.

Jimin puts on a good "face" for his fans but is always so hard on himself and now the attack on his song/ rating by so many makes me worry about his mental state. If Hype/Bighit are using the negativity towards Jimin/ratings just to plan a move with another artist in their camp, I don't think that will sit well w ARMY. On a side note, how many shows, in the US, just mention the name BTS to increase their own rating and viewers? Award shows have done it and morning news shows have done it yet ARMY is manipulating numbers?

💯agree! From the USA & have spent considerable time requesting BTS songs to be played & was told exact same thing “ local market not requesting Dynamite, Butter , etc”. I then connect with managers of these stations & some echoed the same but did put “Butter” in their play rotation for a short time. I wish BTS not so obsessed with the USA market- it does not affect their overall success!! IMO Junkook doing collabs with American artists in order to receive airtime on USA radio.

@@sheiladanceme1885 I think ARMy just needs to be realistic and not worry about Billboard keeping Jimin or BTS at number 1. BTS makes a lot from the US market and being popular here is important to being a worldwide star. They sell out huge stadiums everywhere. But since being number 1 on the Hot 100 or even the top 40 requires radio spins, it’s just not going to happen very often due to radio play. But radio is a dying medium and very conservative (meaning not open to change). By the time BTS comes back from military service, I think Billboard will have dropped the radio spins portion of their charts. Then we will see if the charts are more open. I hope JK is doing collabs with American artist he enjoys. And that these opportunities will make him a worldwide star on his own. But if not, it’s okay as long as he can walk away if things get too nasty. Better to try than not try.

Radio have record labels buy the balls as they want the money and they can get it by refusing to play artist records unless their labels pay up. US radio is dying and this is how they are get a huge chunk of their revenue by illegal means. It's Blackmail and extortion.

the only thing that needs to change is the importance of how radio is factored into charting. radio shouldn't matter at all. it should be streams/sales/social media buzz...for the most part your sales are never going to come from radio listeners. how did i learn about bts in 2016...youtube, and it was through another group in korea doing a cover song (who were later a group called a kpop group A.C.E )

If the WORLD fans haven’t been able to change it the US fans won’t either. I do agree on moving awards and rankings out of the US , because I KNOW for a fact that there are a world of talent Outside the US. At the same time many independent artists in the US are really good …. But again BB, Grammy’s, Radio, charts , even trending lists don’t like them or have been unfair to them for YEARS and have been receiving the same treatment as Jimin. I regularly like to discover artists from around the world. Well in general I like learning about different countries. Music just being one of the things. My children and grandchildren were brought up with those ideals of “ the world is an open book , pick a page and learn all about it”. My extended family is the same. They go around the world to different countries to learn about them. ( things like their parks, wildlife, history and culture.) they don’t go to the normal tourist destinations and prefer to go with companies like National Geographic society on learning and adventure trips . Where they immerse themselves in the culture and get local recommendations ( yes they even learn the languages) for any number of things. I personally think world wide music should NOT be judged and awarded by THE AMERICAN MUSIC ASSOCIATION. As … well the title doesn’t scream international. I think that while each county has its own way of judging things there should also be something like the World Cup or Olympics ( but maybe with a more permanent place/places somewhere ) that is outside the US that can truly be an international hub for music. Wether it be awards, viewing, advertising, streaming, radio, or recording. Or even a place like an international music museum ( of sorts) that shows things like each country’s artists that have stood out in that country AND also those that have stood out in the world of music too. Those artists that have inspired music to evolve and stood out for their innovative ideas , management, products, pieces, or any other thing an music artist has done that has stood out in a new way that furthers the musical world in better way. So while I agree things should be done differently and it SHOULD NOT be in America. I DO NOT appreciate the GENERAL disrespect to Americans who have nothing to do with how the music industry is run and the Disrespect to American Artists that are very talented, but have made their careers outside of the norm music industry because of how they were treated ( like Jimin ) , ignored and pushed aside. The people who run BB, Grammy’s and other influential music institutions /companies and have the Authority to MAKE the decisions that are so harmful and unfair to artists wether they are international, foreign or American are NOT the General public. And BB is privately owned which makes it even harder to publicly ( international fans included) correct. So let’s just focus on the problem and solution and NOT throw insults around.
