Please see this 6 min video on final tune! Fixed my slight hesitation-- • DR650 Final Tune Updat...
The difference in ride is totally different Sorry for the poor audio quality. I’ll eventually get a go pro setup. The iphone camera sometimes focuses on my windshield also.

To anybody that will listen if you do get the procycle jet kit and decide to cut the airbox and want to run the 150 or 155 you cannot use the PC needle it'll never run right it'll always be to rich. You have to buy the 6F19 needle. Its stock but with adjustable clip. The PC needle is way to aggressively tapered. Trust me it took me months to figure that one out. Now my DR run great and still gets 45 miles to the gallon. But you can use PC needle if you never cut the airbox and leave the exhaust stock and never go higher than the 145.Oh yeah and never cut the spring on the carb it causes surging bad but you can add the third hole.

man you have to cut that airbox. I couldn't imagine my bike now without the top of the airbox gone

So my bike has the stock exhaust, with the top of the airbox gone. It wasn't ridable without jetting it, I've got a 47 pilot and 150 main, just the other day I raised the needle a further maybe 0.5-0.75mm with a little washer to just bring it on the rich side, and It is amazing to ride. I've got a 155 main here as well for when I get an aftermarket exhaust because I suspect itll be able to move that much more air. but yeah the with the top of the airbox gone it gets so much more air it just fixes the bike. the other day I went out on a 110km ride (about 70 miles) I used 6.5 litres and that was on and off the throttle up through the hills on slow roads, so 5L/100km or less should easily be attainable on a trip. @@hegemonictrader45

What a great review, you really show the capabilities of the dr with the jet kit in what looks like a great place to ride. I'll be recommending this video to those who want to see what the jet kit can do. Thank you. Dino

@@DinosTinkerShed thanks Dino! I fixed the hesitation also from rolling off throttle from WOT. I was to rich with the 150 main without modding the airbox. So I did put the 145 main jet in instead and runs like a top now. No more hesitation! Love it 😊

How is the fuel economy? I’m getting 50-51 mpg stock setup.

Fuel economy went down after jetting Stock jetting I averaged 42-48 mpg in varying riding conditions. I did get 50mpg all highway staying around 65mph one time stock. Otherwise so far just giving it off road im getting 40mpg with the 145 jet needle on 3rd knotch fuel screw a hare turn over 1 out. With the 150 jet I was getting like 36-38. Will see what next year brings.

I not only enjoy my DR650, I look at it as a tool. With Biden having us closer to WW3 than ever before, it's comforting to know I have fully equipped DR650 survival tool in my garage.
