Perfect. Exactly what I needed. My fiesta went from driving fine to my gear selector light on the dash constantly cycling P,R,D,L over and over with no ability to move. I am researching exactly what that may be Ford wasn't much help.

You can also buy pre-programmed TCM's that don't require programming after already being installed.

My search brings me to this video. You definitely know what you are doing. Just need someone to hold the camera. Mine once a while will code and I can by putting the ignition on on without starting the car, shift in neutral and the code will disappear and it works fine. But now and then the problem comes back. Will start properly then either in second or third it will skip a gear. Won’t slip, just doesn’t shift in that gear. High speed or higher gears works fine. Could it be just the TCM?

My fiesta is at the dealership for the free tcm from the extended warranty due to a no start condition. They had verified it was the TCM and range sensor with a U100.. code lost communication with TCM. They replaced the TCM and are claiming the car still won’t start and needs a new transmission.. does that sound right? I feel like if it was put in and programmed if the trans is shot it’d still at least start? Right or no.

2016 ford fiesta won’t go in reverse and doesn’t shift right when driving. Still just the tcm? Is there a better video ? I’m trying to do it myself.

hello boss good day 🙏 i have a problem with my 2011 ford fiesta trouble code p287b p2831 and p2832, while driving it goes to like a nuetral drive dont want to engage and reverse so i will turn off the key off then i turn it on it shifts again then my rpm goes about 2500 or 2000 rpm you will feel the shifting of the gear delaying

hey my freind has ford focus its ot shifting to 4 th gear and up but she has to shft to neutral and then ack to drive and then its changing grears, you know why?

Is it possible to take advantage of the service campaign and get TCM for free while living in Poland? By the way, in terms of programming, is the delphi ds150e program enough or does it need a more complicated device? (code P0606)

Why is the reason you need to replace the tcm ??

Even though P0700 code is triggered, Ford dealership claimed that the TCM warranty doesn't cover P287B. In other words, no correlation. Agree or disagree?

no ford dealers have this part in my area......the used parts may not be any better....can u just take it out and clean it or rebuild it....?

My car keeps throwing a transmission code. Its for actuator a. I replace and car may go 5 miles or may go 100but it will come back on and i replace actuator and its fine,but do you think a TCM would cause this? Local dealership says clutch kit but itll work temporarily until i change actuator or reset transmission or clear the code. Please help me decide what to do... should i get new tcm or clutch kit?

Changing the TCM isn't that hard. The hard part is figuring out you have to take it to a DR at "mechanicry" to program them to talk to the ECM. Transmissions weren't that difficult back then and nothing has changed to "REQUIRE the electronic crap that's being forced down our throats now. Fact is, transmissions worked as good if not better and lasted MUCH longer than these wannabe manufacturing plants create now. It's all garbage now. And I feel for every car owner for these that have the transmission issue because Ford doesn't honor ALL cars manufactured during that time EVEN with the TB that was updated to add those in and have EXACTLY the same issues! I'll never buy another Ford again. EVER.
