I wonder when she wrote this song? Seems to me that it may have been around the time of her new found freedom from Casablanca Records?

@@miturn7 This was from the album she was recording in 2000/01 after having just signed a new record deal w/ Sony Records. Then 9/11 happened,, and having been in New York City near WTC at the time, she freaked a bit, retreated and did not want to record for a couple of years. Then, the guy who signed her to Sony was let go/or left (can't remember) and the whole project and record deal fell apart. Other songs from these sessions and intended for the album are Valley of the Moon, Adonai, and I Got Your Love (later released as a single after it was played on Sex and the City).

That "freedom" cost her her career. Imagine, a gay man (Geffen) at the helm and her career tanks. Something was rotten in Denmark.
