The PS5 preorder situation is a mess. I think I'll rather just wait and take my chances with picking one up in a store after the launch.

I really don't need a PS5 at launch, the only game I want right now is Spriderman, and that is coming to PS4, which is fine with me.

Still no luck on my part of coming even close to getting a PS5 pre-ordered. Makes me want to smack every single person selling them on eBay. I’ve always pre-ordered my consoles at the local GameStop and went in on the day we were supposed to be able to pre-order to find out that they were only allotted 10 units for my entire area which were gone the night before. This is ridiculous.

Tina, I just rewatched the entire Harry Potter series and I think it was even more impactful now than ever. I was introduced to the wonderful world of magic at a young age like most others, but to watch them all as an adult and see them in a different perspective was really emotional, lol. So hyped for the Hogwarts game!

You really should give the Souls series a try. I find those games only get mentioned for their difficulty while ignoring the wonderful unique adventure full of mistery and secrets it really is. It really feels like a great 3D Castlevania to me and Castlevanias are still much harder to me. Souls is just hard to understand and get into at first. Open your heart ❤️

First console launch for me was the xbox one, i was stationed in japan so we were a little behind on getting the console into the px, but as much ire as it gets i love Ryse that was my jam 🎸

I went the disc version pre-order as I get every game physically where I can and I have a large collection of BD and 4KBD movies. I also think retailers don’t want to sell the half-assed digital version as they get no benefits going forward, which makes complete sense.

Myself and two friends camped out in my buddies pickup in a target parking lot until they opened at like 7 an or something. We bought a GameCube each and between the 3 of us we bought all of the 8 or so launch games. We then went back to one of our houses hooked up 3 TVs in the living room and had like 10 people taking turns playing all day. We had finals for high school the next day.

The pre orders from Sony start in 30 mins if you got selected for the pre order email. I may try to get one just in case the Series X falls through, which I doubt it will.

Demon's Souls Remake is top 5 launch games of all time. Up there with Soul Calibur on Dreamcast.

PS5 is cheaper in Canada if you calculate the exchange rate, I was actually surprised. Works out to roughly $30 cheaper for each one.

To me with GoW Ragnarok & Horizon Forbidden West coming 2021, it's sounds like it'd best to wait a year before buying a PS5. Prices are higher in Aus because of our wages, in addition to exchange rates. There was a board game called 'The Game of Life', a played it a lot as a kid - no idea if it's still available or if a virtual version was made

My First console at launch was a Wii, next was a xbox one, then a switch. I got a gamecube around launch... I think waited till Smash came out.

Gosh I was shouting that their read on Deathloop is so far from what the game is shaping up to be! Immersive sim (hitman, dishonored, prey, thief) style in a time loop where you have to kill all 8 targets but don’t have enough time. You have to do the loop over and over to eventually construct the “perfect run” where you get all 8 targets in the short timeframe. Another assassin (a real player if you choose) hunts and tries to stop you. Now we’re learning that the targets are intertwined and messing with one can affect the others.

I always get disc version, I have bad internet and enjoy popping in a disc. I’m not 5 years old anymore so my disc don’t scratch.

28:16 Sam is totally right on that. I always annoys me when people complain that it's more expensive just because the number is bigger in their currency. Doing the math it was only $50 more than the US. Most countries don't get it for such a little increase as 10%. Who usually get shafted are european countries when companies convert the US$60 into EUR$60, or even worse, £60 in the UK. Down here in Argentina I'm gonna get it at what equals to US$750, which is what I was expecting since customs tax is 50% (for comparison in our currency that is about $100000 with minimum wage getting a raise at the end of this month to $50000)

Whenever I see "console exclusive" i always assume its on PC too. If it is a real exclusive they usually make that distinction.

Something you guys missed to note about Final Fantasy 16: It's a console exclusive for PS5. That's pretty huge, the series is going back to that.

The depth of the story and all of the characters in the HP/wizarding world is what makes it for me. The movies are pretty good too....3,8,5,4,6,2,1,7.

The Wii was the only console I got at launch. All others were after the launch.

I feel old compared to the scoop group. My first console buy at launch was the N64!! Was 17 and after buying. I phoned my dad to pick me up as didnt want to get on the bus with my new toy.

Not entirely sure why Justin is having a hard time understanding Miles Morales. It's a smaller spin off title. literally just like Lost Legacy. Definitely not a sequel, I don't think that was even a question from the moment it was announced.

Miles Morales and Ratchet Rift Apart are why I want a PS5 at launch. But, I didn't get a pre order because I believed Sony. Then I saw youtubers say they actually went up the same day as the event later. And they probably sold out. Because it was the day Sony said they would be available when I saw these videos. And so many figured it out long before me. Then some people said "get out there and try to secure a pre order before they sell out!" So, I was confused and too busy to check around until Saturday. Needless to say but, pre orders dried by then. Likely way sooner, even.

I'd bet Sony purposely released so many fewer digital versions because they are way under priced and they take a huge loss on them. So they basically released one console priced at $499 and the digital version is just a marketing illusion so they can say they offer a lower priced model.

Woke up with a feeling that ps5 on sale so I went down to GAME here in Belfast at 9 15 and there was a a queue! It was pretty big so I hopped in! Waited 2 hours and was lucky to get the disc version with Daemons souls 😁

I'd rather the madness of the PS5 pre-orders over the exact time being plundered by bots like with the RTX 3080 which bought literally every single graphics card and flipping them on ebay with pretty much no actual customers getting any chance at it.

I think ps5 godfall will be released first as there are more cut scenes of it out so far.

Ragnarok IMO will be a GoW1.5 - and will be PS4 cross gen. Are people forgetting there was a pandemic on and the development of this isn’t just 3 years - it’s 3 years with half in Work-at-home conditions. This was clearly heavily dependent on previous development (and makes me think they broke up GoW into 1.5 games)

If PlayStation put the info about pre-orders out and loud in that showcase and said that pre-orders start tomorrow at this and this time I can guarantee none of this mess would've happened and if someone pressed the button against that officially given time they would be fucked and whole blame would be on them. Now you not only have all consoles sold out constantly but also there have been more pre-orders than consoles (look at Amazon). Hilarious.

I think anyone who buys the all digital PS5 is mad. You'll save a 100 bucks, but over time, you'll lose hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, because you can't lend games, buy (used) games, sell games, etc. You can't do any of that. And you can't watch movies either. ONLY those who for real NEVER buy physical games, or is into any of that other stuff that I just mentioned, should buy that version.

I generally like to slowly play through Final Fantasy 1 while watching this show. Today, I had to set my controller down and walk away for a while.

What do you think about Sony straight up lying about "we believe in generations" and then releasing Miles Morales, Sackboy, Horizon 2 on PS4 and possibly more? Also if you own Spiderman on PS4 you dont get the PS5 upgrade for free. You have to buy it again. 1st party games being $70. Bravo playstation? Are you serious? What you forget is you get your PS5 digital for $399 then a few games puts you close to $540. For $499 you have Series X which is a more powerful machine INCLUDES a disc drive + 1 month game pass giving you 100+ games. That is difference between the two. Straight up console price is not an indicator of value for the first time in a console generation.

Digital is far more desired than physical. This is why they sold out before your links could get sells. Sony wants you on Digital more than physical as they make far more money long term.

The chaos had its upsides tho. The bots are so gonna be ready for Xbox and nearly no real person will get one preordered. There were at least more real people to get their hands on PS5s.

I'll pre-order Xbox Series X and get a PS5 1 or 2 years down the line when there are actual exclusive games out for that system and perhaps a cheaper price for the console. Xbox will be the better console for everything other than exclusives.

In Canada the digital version is 500$ and disc is 630$, more then 100$ then digital. I am furious of the pre-order shitshow and now there saying they will be far less digital versions then disc to buy. I want digital!!!🎮

FF15 was awful. It was dark. I don’t mind the action but I wanted to be able to control my whole team. We used get all types of characters with unique personalities, the were colorful looking, and it was just better. I don’t another character dressed in black in a group of characters who are all dressed in black with personalities of a piece of wood. That is what 16 looks like. The gameplay reminds me of the early demo they showed Noctis fighting by himself to show how combat is. I think the event for the ps5 was made for Wednesday as expected but I think the preorders date was next week. So I think they changed the event to remove the pre order date and just decided to tweet the preorder date. Sony going first means people will buy into the hype and buy a ps5. Then when the XSX/S preorders start there will be those that won’t buy one now. Even the IGN NGM hosts yesterday all said they were caught up in the hype of buying one. The one gentleman said he wasn’t looking to get one but once the hype took over he tried.

11:26 Demon's Souls can certainly be scaled down to PS4. Turn down res, texture quality, lighting and shadows, particles. Done. Of course it won't look as good, but the other Souls games looked good on PS4, so why wouldn't this one?
