I specifically waited to buy FIFA on Switch because I liked the idea of popping in for a quick match when commuting or doing laundry, etc. Also, I don't have 4 ps4 controllers like I do Switch controllers (because Smash), and I knew my friend group would be into playing local multiplayer. But then, I read reviews and found out the game was a half-assed port of the previous year's game that was missing key gameplay upgrades and decided not to buy it. If they actually made a GOOD FIFA game for Switch, I would likely buy it.

Some of the levels that people create on Mario Maker 2 are genius. How they work out how to put them together is amazing. More games need level creators in them. I had an idea years ago that if COD had one they could run a competition where they pick the best user created map every month and it gets added to the roster.

Sam is right about PS2 reason was cause of that DVD player. Funny story about a friend: He got the PS2 so he can play Everquest with his dad. In the end after finally figuring out they couldn't play together; his dad says, "Well, at least we got a new DVD player." My friend didn't get in to his ps2 til FFX, Dax, and Rachet and Clank. I think of cancelling my PS+ subscription from time to time, as it simply adds more games to my gaming backlog and that I primarily play single player games, so 90% of the time I don't use multiplayer. A bit surprised you didn't speculate on how well the PS5 could sell, considering how well the PS4 has.

EA has never supported Nintendo systems well, noted for developing primarily for Sega in the 16 bit days. Eventually a few sports games arrived to the SNES, and that was it. N64 got FIFA 64, and what else? So the story continues. PS2 definitely benefited from its DVD capability as it was infamous at time for The Matrix being the biggest selling launch title. Yep, a movie on DVD, not a game. I bought Independence Day on DVD with my PS2. Don't forget, the PS2 could launch nuclear missiles too.

PS+ isn't worth it anymore. The price keeps going up and we only get 1/3 of the games we used to get. I don't play online, so why would I pay for it?

U guys and girl missed a major point with ea switch.ONLINE most big third party games have big online features.If switch cannot run mario maker co op they have no chance on big 3rd party games.Game scoop is my number 1 pod cast by a county kilometer.

Psn membership is down because of a few reasons one is people think the free games right are not worth it and if you look PS now membership has gone up because people see more value there

Of course Digital sales surpassed physical copies. Because now they don’t really offer us a choice,digital is the only option. Also I love PS4 way more than PS3.

I'm so glad Justin is talking up Mario Maker 2. This game is so stinking brilliant, but I think people are glossing over it because it's another Mario game and it's so close to the original Mario Maker game. That does NOT mean it can't be a Game of the Year, because it absolutely is the best game of the year so far....I've heard you talked up Mario Tennis, Tina! I'm listening, lol. You're a prime reason I've played that game. Also, please tell Damon to keep bringing you on the show....It's so mind-boggling that Plants v. Zombies, Sims and other similar games haven't been ported, because I totally would rebuy PvZ them on the Switch. EA is ridiculous....I never had a Game Boy until the Advance, and it wasn't I played Metroid Prime (my first Metroid game) when I decided to go find a Game Boy to play Metroid II. That game is so good and so frustrating at the same time! ... I'm thinking I should buy R-Type on Switch....Once Upon A Time In Hollywood wasn't good to me. Anyway, great show.

You wouldnt say that a Porsche 718 is a crappier Porsche compared to the more expensive Panamera because the 718 is cheaper, lacks back doors for family functionality, and doesn't have all the luxury features of the Panamera. Buyers of the 718 do not care about those things but they do care about raw sportscar performance without the 911 price. The Switch Lite deletes the features that handheld-only gamers do not care about and adds the performance features that we do (smaller/pocket-able and a d-pad). It's a no brainer for me who hasn't docked my Switch since BotW released (why would I when I have much more powerful gaming platforms at home) and only use my Switch on the go or in bed.

The switch just really is not very powerful so games like Anthem and Battlefield 1 i doubt would even run - or at least they would have to downgrade them an awfull lot... I love the idea of the switch but i just wish is was at least as powerful (in docked mode at least) as a xbone, then it could at least run all the current gen games...

Anyone else ever get into a gaming rut (for lack of a better word)? I have TONS of games I haven't got around to playing yet but I just can't get psyched to play. It's like when you are hungry but NOTHING sounds good to eat. While I was at work I couldn't wait to get home kick back and play but right now I'm just meh. I guess I am more worried about it being a sign of some kind of depression. Anyone else get that way with gaming? Don't get me wrong I don't think I am miserable. I mean just because I am not into gaming right now I just don't sit and do nothing. I have a small art studio in my apartment that I have been spending a lot of time in lately. I know it sounds weird but I miss being excited about gaming, yet I can't get motivated to play. :-(

People aren't frothing over the PS4 sales because the PS4 has become a staple console. It's like bread. Nintendo is like a snack. The reason why people are always shocked about Nintendo sales is because Nintendo is strictly a "toy". They're also always on the brink of failure. I'm not downplaying the success of the PS4 -- I own one -- but it's one explanation. Nobody had a personal agenda against Sony as some commenters are implying.

The Ps4 is on par with the VHS player, when the newer more "advanced" version of the same function comes out (DVD player) The Ps4 will be collecting dust in our closets.

The Switch isnt on the same sales pace...face it...

PS2 sold 2 to 4 consoles to its customers because it was faulty and continually broke more than any other console. Sony was even succesfully sued over the PS2 in a class action suit. Sony can brag that the PS2 was so unreliable that people needed multiples of them because they were garbage. Everyone I know IRL that owned a PS2 had to buy at least 2 or 3 of them.
