That’s an old school trick, we used it in the 90s. If we were interested we were honest what it was for. Dudes didn’t care at all once they knew it was fake to keep dirtbags away. And not all people check for a ring when saying hello in a dark crowded bar. If anyone came at one of us like he wanted to be a side piece, immediately no. The ring works as a first filter 😂😂

I've been doing that since I was like 13. I had to because gross old man would always hit on me. When I became old enough to date I would just switch it between my middle finger and ring finger depending on the situation. That's an old trick not a new one. My mom did it in the '60s. I'm told my grandmother did it and that was in the 1920s.
