I did the exact same swap in my 2003 Jetta , its a good amount of work and preparation. the longest part was drilling the 120 spot welds.

Hey mate, I’ve got a 2.3 v5 bora and was thinking of doing 4 motion conversion from mk4 golf… was just wondering if I actually would need to cut out the bottom floor of the trunk out to swap it… cos bora and golf are based on the same parts… so was wondering if it’s actually just a bolt on job or something ??

Quick side question, I am in the middle of building a 24v vr6 turbo jetta, what did you use for tuning software? Also, did you delete your SAI and if not how are you running it? 3rd sorry for all the questions I just can’t seem to find recent info for these cars. Too bad explanation was good but it’s hard to see because your not zoomed out far enough. Would have been nice to get a full zoomed out pic of both. Kinda hard to tell going back and forth and showing just the spots. Anyways thanks I think I’ll just figure out how to fabricate it without cutting and welding rear end from r32 since it’s hard to find.

Is this easier than just making the notch for the trailing arm and moving the mounting point for the shock tower? taking an entire floor seems really involved to bolt up a sub-frame, really curious about if it is possible if you dont have access to a 4motion floor or a r32.

Danny, como le comente a tu viejo, solo pesque el 20 % de lo que hablabas, el ingles USA , suena distinto al Brit......ja ja veo que la sal afecta mucho los bajos el coche, lo pudre todo, parecería que el 4 Motion, tiene mas hueco en la parte trasera del coche, supongo que sera por la transmision y el lugar que ocupa, deberás tener que cortar el baúl de tu coche y rehacer el piso ?? esto llevaría un buen trabajo, supongo también que desarmaras la transmisión para ver los engranajes, cambiar bujes de goma y dar blasting + pintura a las parrillas , los semiejes también los repararas ?? tenes un buen trabajo por delante , por suerte tenes el coche viejo para sacar un plantilla del piso y copiarlo.......la satisfacción, sera cuando lo veas al VW negro terminado y tirando cambios por las calles de N York.......ja ja, seguí colgando videos de la transformación, y si podes , hace alguno en castellano que lo cuelgo en mi Face,,, Un abrazo !!!
