All this modelling of parts hidden on completion and never seen again reminds me of motor racing, where nothing works better for gaining valuable experience than getting out on the track and practicing - where speed, sound, smells and raised heart-rates beat VR computer simulations every time. Likewise in modelling, working fine detail into hidden spaces gives 'real-world' experience in difficult tasks perhaps never attempted previously. Its the journey and not the destination that matters! Confused about the analogy? They're both about getting engineering by the balls - one in the macroscopic, one in the microscopic. Keep doing it Nige and real world doggie bones for Jess!!

Wow, I can just imagine sitting in that cockpit and throwing a few of those toggles and switches, beautiful work there Nige, half the battle done there. Next up, build those engines and main gear - can't wait.

With the Bostons they sometimes flew with a crew of 3 (pilot, nav and top turret) if they were flying low level, and no fighters could get underneath them, But if they were flying at higher altitudes, which they did more usually, they had a 4th crew member who was the bottom gunner

Wow!!! That is absolutely brilliant, looks absolutely beautiful. Another brilliant tutorial by yourself, I and many others have learnt so much from watching your videos, your patient way of showing us not telling us why you have done something a certain way is golden advice. This is a tremendous kit (I only wish I could afford it) but in your hands it is looking lovely. Very nice work Nige. I know the a-20 was mainly low level but would there be an oxygen mask tube ? Maybe I missed it ? M

Thanks Martin.. you are correct. I removed the moulded on one and forgot to replace it!! It's not too late either!!

@@NigelsModellingBench always adds an organic touch . Did a-20 pilots wear that odd , armoured flight helmet you sometimes see ? Might look cool on the seat .

Hi Nigel, Just an idea, but do you think Aniz could make throttle knobs and balls with a slot in the bottom? You could then just cut off the knobs from the photo etch, and super glue the throttle arms in the slot. Another stunning video. Cheers
