THE ABC'S OF SALVATION
A = Admit you are a sinner and you can’t be perfect and holy enough in God’s eyes to be right with Him on your own. Turn away from your sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Rom. 3:23
B = Believe that Jesus (God in the flesh) died on your behalf to pay the price for your sin and to give you a way to be right with God - to be forgiven. He lived the perfect life you couldn’t live. He died the death you deserve and rose from the dead in victory over sin, death, and the grave on your behalf!
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.” Rom. 6:23
C = Confess that Jesus is your Lord - this means, Jesus is now your Master and you live your life for Him and His glory rather than for yourself. You say it out loud to others and you live it from now on. You lay down your will and your desires and follow Him, inviting Him to direct and use your life for His will.
“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.” Rom. 10:9-10

This hit home for me because this is the EXACT way that I approach my husband with problems…same tone, same inflections…wow. I really need to learn how to approach my husband better with problems I’m facing. April, it would be so helpful for you to do even more videos like this!

Thank you so much for sharing. I'm really proud of you! That is why I am doing so many skits right now, to help us see ourselves in a "mirror" a bit. And then to give some options of ways to respond that would be a lot healthier. I have a lot of videos/posts about respect, control, fear, and how we speak to our husbands that may be a blessing. And my book, The Peaceful Wife, addresses this issue at length with tons of resources and examples, as well. And if you haven't seen my older skits, they may be helpful, too. From a few years ago. Great skit, April! I will add 2 things to consider when approaching husbands with these situations. First, let your husband have time to unwind after work before approaching him with any problem. Whatever he needs...a meal, a shower, a workout, a quick nap, a change of clothes...whatever his "unwind" routine is...give him 20-60 min before discussing problems. Also, the problem you used as an example was a legitimate issue. But, I remember times when I unloaded my problems with schools, teachers, parents, etc that weren't really problems. Moms, especially, have to be careful to not get caught up in "mommy gossip" and drama that is really just a cloak for anxiety and perfection around our kids. You are a good actress!👏♥️🇨🇦

Yes! That is a very good piece of advice to not just blurt things out immediately but give him a little time to unwind. I actually have a video on that exact topic. Should have thought about that! And yes, sometimes we do get worked up about things that may not be emergencies or as awful as they may seem. Thank you for sharing! Blessings!

Same here. I was engaged but I was very, very critical and harbored unforgiveness towards my future spouse. I have repented and I am praying he forgives me for harsh manner and we marry. Pray for our kingdom marriage!
