The Day the Washing Machine Died - SKIT

3 жыл бұрынMy skits are realistic but fictionalized stories. In this one, our washing machine really did die yesterday. I portray a similar approach to what I used in the first 14 years of our marriage in the first part of the skit. Then I recreate the way I approach my husband now.
Sometimes it is helpful to just see some examples. I pray this will be a blessing.

THE ABC'S OF SALVATION
A = Admit you are a sinner and you can’t be perfect and holy enough in God’s eyes to be right with Him on your own. Turn away from your sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Rom. 3:23
B = Believe that Jesus (God in the flesh) died on your behalf to pay the price for your sin and to give you a way to be right with God - to be forgiven. He lived the perfect life you couldn’t live. He died the death you deserve and rose from the dead in victory over sin, death, and the grave on your behalf!
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.” Rom. 6:23
C = Confess that Jesus is your Lord - this means, Jesus is now your Master and you live your life for Him and His glory rather than for yourself. You say it out loud to others and you live it from now on. You lay down your will and your desires and follow Him, inviting Him to direct and use your life for His will.
“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.” Rom. 10:9-10

April, I've read both of your books, The Peaceful Wife and The Peaceful Mom. They were both a true blessing in my life. Peaceful Wife was given to me by a friend in my courtship before marriage. Praise the Lord I read it early lol. I had to read it again after marriage for a refresher and since then I've passed the books along to other ladies 😊💗. Thank you so much for your ministry to women. This is SO me! It's so hard being peaceful when you feel your husband doesn't even care about your feelings and treats you bad. 💔

Lady C Says - It is hard to be peaceful when you feel unheard or unloved. I don't know your husband or his motives. I don't know your situation. But I do know that I used to feel the same way about Greg. I thought he didn't love me or care about my feelings. In my case, he actually did. But my approach was just a huge turn off. It took a few years for us to begin to heal as I began to invite God to change my heart and my motives and my approach. I have some videos and blog posts about when you feel like your husband doesn't care. Sometimes they really don't. But many times, they actually do. We just may be misunderstanding each other. @@AprilCassidy Thank you so much! I have asked God to help change me because my approach is all the way off and disrespectful most of the time. Maybe that is why I feel like he treats me bad is because I talk to him so badly, especially when I'm frustrated. Please pray for me and my walk with the Lord.

Lord, I lift up Lady C Says and her walk with You. We invite You to work powerfully in her life by Your Spirit and Your Word to cleanse her and conform her more and more into the image of Jesus. We invite You to do all the work You want to do to love her, heal her, and empower her to become the woman and wife You designed and called her to be for Your glory. Please make her a blessing to her husband and everyone around her. Most of all, let her be filled to overflowing with Your goodness as she seeks You much more than anyone or anything else. Amen!

Nice skit as always🙂 even tho this skit was funny there's a jewel in the message and that's cool this was the perfect example of the irrational spirit versus the rational spirit.

I know I wished I had some examples to follow when I was first learning this stuff. At first, I could start to see what I was doing wrong, but I wasn't sure what to replace it with. I hope the Lord will use these skits to be a blessing and a reminder to seek Him and His ways that are so much better than our old sinful nature's ways. Blessings!

Hello! I actually made a video two weeks ago in the really short amount of time I had, but then was not able to get it edited. I am SO SO SO sorry that I haven't been able to post. Yes, I am okay. My family's schedule has suddenly dramatically changed and I am needed much more with them. Everyone is fine. I just don't have a few hours to get a video together. I left a message on my FB page. But will try to get a video up to let everyone know. Thank you! I hope to be able to post again soon. Thank you for asking.

I used a filter to blur the background a bit when I was walking, though.

@@AprilCassidy I was asking because your recent videos (including this one) have been in low definition (360p). But when you first got that camera they were in high definition (720p). Not the biggest deal on phone or tablet but HUGE difference on a TV. I'm not complaining or murmuring, just found it odd because I remember you got a high def camera.
