I don't think that you were saying this, but it might also get lost for someone who is new to faith: Life isn't all about "the hard things", being disciplined or JUST about our holiness. There is balance between being disciplined and spiritually-focused and enjoying the great things that God has put in your life. An abundant life in Christ has joy, laughter, and pleasures that don't even cost money, like enjoying the sunset or being around loved ones. This is in addition to all of the things that we have to do as mature, responsible adults and our spiritual growth and development in Christ. There is a long distance between solely chasing pleasure and enjoying your life/taking time to just BE rather than DO. The tension between earth and heaven, discipline and fun, the present and the future, suffering and excitement is where we can really seek God because it isn't easy to navigate and balance everything. That tension doesn't have easy, one-size-fits-all answers. Those areas where we need guidance to do what is pleasing to God in our lives in that season only draws us closer to God rather than just following "rules." I think those areas without clear answers are reminders that we need to ask God for guidance and stay close enough to hear his voice.

2:00 It's when those choices are a bone of contention that difficulties arise. If both spouses in a marriage have total freedom of choice, it's going to cause friction. No couple makes choices that are 100% harmonious. There has to be compromise in one's own desires in order to honour one's spouse. It is this sacrificial giving that communicates love, honour and respect.

I got the push from an incredible endeavor of cracking the Matthew 19:9 "exception clause," that two-millennia-old controversy that has been so hard on serious believers, to try and help in this area. From there, I mean to keep doing edifying work that calls to total out-of-this-world alignment with God's Word that can bring theology and life together. You might consider taking a glance if something looks up your alley, if you feel the Lord's leading. Thanks again for all the work and effort -- praying for the best for you. :)
