My brother makes homemade ice cream like that sometimes but instead of milk he uses heavy whipping cream and puts in a little vanilla extract to make vanilla ice cream.

It's actually really smart how he did that. By adding salt he lowered the temperature of the water to help the freezing process of the milk withst the ice in the bag melts slower.

I had some great times being locked. One time my whole floor made a 2 foot long cake for me for my birthday and everyone got a piece and everyone chipped in. Sometimes it's easier being locked then dealing with the outside world ...

When I was locked up we had access to ice, the Walkman had to fill up the cooler but when we weren't locked down we could get as much as we want respectively.

My 8th grade science teacher was one of those all work no play kinda guys. Alot of the classes would take their kids to the yard to play when the work was done or if they werent doing anything that day. Each class was an hour and a half long. Our teacher would never take us out. And the class had a door leading to the yard. Torture hearing the other kids play while we had to stay inside. The only two times I remember him doing something fun none of the other teachers did was when he took us outside when there was heavy snow on the ground and we got to play in it for a bit with the pretense of measuring how much inches of snowfall we had that day. The other was when on a really hot day he took us outside and brought all the ingredients to make ice cream like this. Was good and a lot of fun.

That's exactly how real ice cream was made back in the day. Obviously with a different recipe but the method of making it was similar. Back in the day they used ice from stratovolcanos to make ice cream. ✌
