You have inspired me to move on to the next phase of my life. I have raised my children and they are off living their lives. I have always loved plants and the scent of soil. As a child I loved working in the dirt. My stepfather loved roses. He gave me that gift. So when I discovered you my love of gardening reawakened. I have had SO many pleasurable hours since I discovered Garden Answer. I am no spring chicken, and I don’t have any help gardening, but I have found a way to make it work for me, despite my age, and I am so grateful! It is the joy of this time of my life! I am THRILLED by all the things I see you and Aaron accomplishing. Yes, like any change, it can be a little intimidating but it is really WONDERFUL and exciting! Maybe someone would volunteer their time to submit a garden design to you both! I DO understand your attitude towards ‘committees’. I have always preferred to work on my own. The big changes are in process, so hang on for the ride, DOCUMENT everything (you won’t regret that) and before you know it, it will be done-so goes life!

When the kids grow out of it donate it to the city or the charity that helps families in stressful situations. We didn't play on ours everyday but it was wonderful to have it at home. We even had the little 4 seater thing you used your legs and arms to make it go around faster and faster! The neighborhood kids all came over and we would have a blast! And Easter pics taken all dressed up sitting on the swings. I guess that was one way to keep us still lol.. Great memories!

I am a grandmother and one tip I have concerning a playset is to place it where you can view your children playing while you are working. I placed mine in front of my kitchen window area so I can prepare meals and still keep an eye on my grandchildren. I know you work in many areas around your property but I would choose a spot where you work the most.

When you showed a picture of the Cedar Works play set boy did that take me back. My older son is 22 and when he was 3 we were looking for a play set and found Cedar Works. Beautiful play sets but pricey. My husband and father-in-law are pretty handy so we used some of the ideas we saw and ended up building our own. My boys were both very active and needed that physical play time. As long as it was ok to be outside, they were out using play set. If we thought of what we spent versus how much it was used, it was so worth it.

Concerning all the changes being made in your landscape.... it's sooo hard to change the familiar comfortable things.... but by adding new, you build the future instead of staying in the past.... yes, it's hard but a few years after the greenhouse is built, it will be like it was always there and it will become the familiar comfortable thing.... ❤️

Some of us haven’t been with you as long as others. It would be nice to have an episode of all tools, fertilizers, favorites, things like Captain Jacks, etc. and proper way to use each. You last video is old. Updates aren’t bad. You can highlight why you have changed or added items. Love all you do.

The sandbox is a great idea, but kids need to be able to climb, too. I don't know if they still make them, but our kids had the T-shaped swing set that wasn't huge, but had all the things--climbing, swings and a slide. Not beautiful, but they spent hours on that thing every day!

The last comment was so true. I'm not into potting plants or big vase displays, but you have taught me so much about pest control, pruning, and plant types other than what are always in the big box stores year after year. I thought I knew plenty about veg gardening, but I never thought about a second crop later in the season. We never used garlic cloves in cooking just garlic powder, but now I have a row I planted in the fall for the first time ever. So you teach us all in one way or another. Thank you both so much.

You got this girl! You are where you were born to be, believe me! We love watching you, and do, every time you are on! Your accomplishments are amazing, you give us so much content and beauty, not to mention education. And Aaron is a wonderful mate for you, you work well together and apart, he learns different aspects of your gardening world as needed and as time goes by, and as you prosper and grow together. You two have made a beautiful family and life together. I pray God continue to bless and keep healthy your sweet family. With Love, Norma (from Florida)

I’m excited, I got my first two lemon cypress. I can’t wait to get some of these new perennials. I get something new every year. Thanks for all you teach me and help me get motivated to get out in my yard. So excited to see the new green house in place of the gazebo. Excited to see that gazebo at your town park

Susan Turner I agree, and always remember, you can be open to advice from others but you don't have to do what they say. Advice is just advice, lol,

this season would be a great time to focus on perfecting the part of your garden behind your home! maybe putting the rose garden in that formal section in the back you hardly touch!

Why don’t you check out John Carloftis in Lexington, Ky? He has a beautiful historic home and garden and a Hartley greenhouse with a chandelier. He is a landscape designer and loves to entertain. Often the greenhouse is used for dinner parties.

I buy creeping phlox in 6a StL Missouri. I love it the way it hangs over brick walls and still grows and blooms.. They don't get to tall but will creep the whole wall. I have one plant 4 yrs old its about 4-5 foot long and maybe 6 inches tall with the blooms

Laura, Im 69 and I am sooo not a "committee" person either, and never have been. Whether that is a fault, I'm still not sure. We are artists at heart. I love the satisfaction of creating something on my own, or pushing on through something extra strenuous. But I have surely that I cannot do EVERYTHING, so I do value when others can contribute their skills when I need them. That teaches me patience and gratitude. That is a blessing!
