You know one of the heroes of our time (though I think he's perhaps too reluctant to take on the role) Trevor Noah. I still wish he'd passed the torch to Roy Wood Jr. More of that reluctance to take up the call. But so am I in too many ways, I know. We do our best, but I just want people to know there is hope, and a portion of that potential is in each of us. Solidarity fellow Earthlings!❤🌍🌎🌏🌐

Yeaah he really popped in the last two years and came into his own.. owning his shit, talkin about anything and everything comfortably with nice deliveries.. it almost seems like improv now. Movin away from the shy role, it feels he knows he can get a crowd to laugh and is good at his craft. He got some good potential if he keeps goin like this, hoping the fame doesn't affect him too much. Cause i don't see him walkin incognito much longer

99% of comedians will write one set of jokes to last them 6 months and they would repeat the same jokes in every city they go to every night, not Josh, every week he has different material for a different week and a different city. Yeah , that’s how you build an hour. Everyone does what josh is doing . You tell a joke and you just keep the ones that kill and disregard the ones that don’t . And through time the ones that really kill accumulate and the hour gets stronger. (Andrew Schulz literally documented this in 2017) . Once the hour is strong enough you tour that hour to prove to Netflix or hbo that it’s good enough to buy. Trust me when josh sells a special you’ll see some of these jokes in there . This ain’t new , the ain’t special josh is just post more to build his following. Again same thing Andrew Schulz did 7 years ago

This subject is actually something I talk about all the time with my friends - the humanity being on display portion, not the serial killer part, ha. So often you hear folks say "Oh, things are so bad" or "We're so divided now" or something else along those lines, when the fact of the matter is things have always been this messed up. It's just that with the advent of the internet and everybody having instant access to the sum of human knowledge and experience in their pockets, everything is now on full display for all to see. Instant access to information has provided us with a full view of that humanity.

I remember the joke with Carlin was the Rice Krispies joke which is such a throwaway for that amazing man, but it was just the first joke of his I heard that made me really crack up and then get very interested. I have been watching clips of this young man for a couple of weeks now and each time I’m like, “Oh, good, he’s funny.” Today the shift was made. “Aren’t executioners serial killers who made it?” was the moment I said, “Ok. your delivery is just impeccable. the pauses with facial expressions going back and forth between the smiles and the serious like "alright, you aren't gonna believe this..... gimmie a sec. HOW DO I PHRASE..." but also the awesome pauses where you give *juuuuuuuust* enough time for things to sink in (like aren't the executioners just serial killers who made it?) and then continue. it's a talent. so many people do not seem able to manage stuff like this. you had me dyin on the buzzing TSA story. 😂😂😂😂 the agent's reactions, and then the dancing buzzer on the table. holy hell hahaha.

He expected a certain pattern of behavior from her, and she didn't display it. Some pattern that is his trigger. I don't really know anything about his case, but I do understand aberrant psychology. When she didn't exhibit the pattern, he couldn't dehumanize her completely. For whatever reason, she didn't fit in the mental stereotype that he had constructed to represent his victims and in some twisted fashion allow him to rationalize what he was doing. I don't know if he had a history or rejection, but it wouldn't surprise me. Maybe he didn't receive the rejection he expected, and that rejection was what it took to trigger his violent reaction. Like the proverbial dog that catches the car, he didn't know what to do, so he just let her go.
