I would for sure clear the codes and install new ones. If your land board needs a code ask them what they want entered.

I think that particular lock holds up to 19 separate codes.

Keep the buttons clean! Would-be intruders can look at smudgy buttons learn the numbers that make up the code, and try different permutations until it opens!

I have many of these for well over 10 yrs and so far the buttons have not worn showing which ones are used the most but yes now and again we need to wipe the key pad to keep smudges clean

Not sure young man why anyone would want to use this old technology just makes no sense to me, it's easier to use a key to open the door rather then fuss around with this electronic junk.

Handy if you lose your key I guess. My brother swears these are better but I like my key 🔑. I had one for a while and let the battery die on accident. Ended up calling a locksmith. Was awful.

I have these on every door I own and would not want it any other way. I already have way too many keys . Yes you can have pretty much all your locks keyed the same and have one key but I dont. I can care a temporary code with trades people, family,friends...who ever if they need to get in when no one is home. There are locks that can use wifi or key fobs but I dont really trust them . Anything with WiFi can be used against you in my opinion.

@@HouseImprovements I have a kevo smart lock, but it's not WiFi. It's bluetooth. However, I can send you a key that only works for a certain time, or for a certain length of time. Granted you need to install the kevo app on your phone. I prefer it to the keypad lock we have. But, my wife prefers the keypad one. So that's what on our primary door. The kevo is on the garage entry door.
