Awesome job. I like the full length videos. It's like holding my hand and walking me through all the major and minor things I can encounter doing it by myself. You include the key points at every major step and the minor ones like keeping the small drops clean before they dry. I think you have a potential to cross a million subscribers. keep teaching us.

Abbas Durrani thank you very much! I will try my best to make more. It takes a little time to edit and actually make them while trying to get the job done. My goal is to try to help people as much as I can. Stay safe and healthy!

Thanks for the video on how you would go about this. I am a DIYer and not a tile setter, nor do I work with concrete every day but, IMO you made too much work out of this with multiple pours. Although cleaning the concrete and a primer coat was necessary I believe spending all the time you did to mark out floor perfectly was no not. I do believe you can multiple coat however maybe less multiple coats would be better. My approach, and as I said I am not an expert on this, would have been to apply 2-3 buckets on the first pour. I believe it would have found its level using a long bull float and not on your knees. Also have watched many video's and some would have recommended concrete in a thinner consistency than normal concrete. I while back I watched another you tuber "TileCoach" in which he leveled a floor and mixed up 7 buckets at once. Mixed all 7 for a few minutes, let it sit for 10 and then another mix of 3 minutes and then applied. He had a helper that mixed and then he emptied all 7 at once and used maybe a bull float if I remember correctly. I would be concerned about all layers adhering to each other on multiple coats and also the amount of time you spent may not have been needed. Don't know for sure and my opinion. My project is to install Shulter-Ditra decoupling mat over plywood that does not need to be leveled or flatened. However my research is to gain knowledge of filling in this Ditra honeycomb mat that I will insert electric radiant wires for floor heat. I need a flat level surface before I install my glue down vinyl planks. So LVT over elec radiant floor heat. Any advise would love for anyone to comment. Thanks. BTW glue product says it can be put over electric as does my LVT. But Ditra says NO on leveling compound on its mat. Go figure.

I made this video to show, how it can be done in layers, and especially putting 2 videos into one. The first is to show how to just fill in low spots if thats all that any one needs to straighten a floor for laminate install, and how to do a complete pour and show people how the self levelling cement works and the actual type of product needed to do a job like this no more no less. How ever much time it took me to make this video to demonstrate, was well worth it my opinion to help people see how “we do it” I think you need to understand that our videos are not here to dictate how you have to do it. My advice is take the best points from anyone who is taking the time to make videos to help people and publish them on youtube, and govern yourself on your project under the circumstances you have to deal with. Thanks for watching and enjoy working on your project.

great video, my question is after the self leveling compound has dried and is ready for tiling; do I have to apply a coat of primer again over the self leveling compound before installing tiles?

Thank you Greg, and that’s a great question. I don’t, the primer helps on older concrete and concrete with paint just to give us that added adhesive property. As long as it’s more less a fresh pour you should be good to go without having to prime. I would recommend an uncoupling membrane if it doesn’t affect your finished height. We have a video on that that can help and a great step by step on how to install tile. Please enjoy and don’t forget to like and subscribe 👍🏻
