1975 Live In Japan /1969 Live In Concert New Jersey (July 4th)
I don't normally do requests and would never have imagined marrying these two great songs together. Through careful editing I've blended them seamlessly.
For all the friends of Glen Campbell I dedicate this but specially for the requestee, my good friend Ed in Washington State (born / raised Phoenix Arizona, here you go :-) He was a young kid in Phoenix when 'By The Time I get To Phoenix'' was a hit.It put Phoenix on the map thanks to Jimmy Webb and Glen Campbell he tells me..
Re: 'The Lord's Prayer'; like Elvis, Glen does such powerful renditions of gospel songs. One can only imagine what the the potential would have been of those two great voices doing an album of Gospel music together.........
p.s. Any reason to include Olivia Newton John (swoon) on one of my videos , is reason enough for me to do this...:-)))

The saddest part of Glen being gone is not his passing, but that future generations may not ever have the sort of golden melodies that he made.

The vocal genius of Mr Glen Campbell, both songs beautifully preformed but the way he sang The Lord's Prayer absolutely touched my heart. R.I.P sir🙏🙏🙏❤️

They say when we sing the Lord's Prayer or any song to God we pray twice. When Glen Campbell sings it seems he's there with God.

A wonderful rendition of the Father;s Prayer. So many people love it yet as soon as the music stops they go back to their own selfich and often digusting ways!!!!

That sweet, powerful, amazing range and voice of Glen Campbell full of emotion and brings joy and happiness to those who hear it!!! God Bless Glen, his family, his friends and to Glen (from all of us who have enjoyed this incredible voice and the skillful guitar playing for almost 50 years now) - we will be eternally grateful to you for having blessed this world with your kindness, your immense talent and music that will live forever even after we are all gone!!!

cheryl parr That's why in big part whyI love him...that sincerity in his personality shines through. Like others of his generation from very humble beginnings.. Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash for example.. Humble beginnings are character building and Glen is a prime example of that.
