With everything going on right now I've been shopping at my local Asian grocery for as many of my food needs as I can. They're the only place in my town without lines and fully stocked. Bought all the ingredients for several weeks worth of miso to make this at home and I've been muddling along this was much needed and so informative. Thank you and your amazing guests!

This made me miss when my whole family got together to make some REALLY good miso paste. My grandma even added a bit of shiso flowers to part of the miso, so it had a different (and absolutely delicious) flavour!

I have to be honest, even though I tend to prefer broccoli cheese soup or even just broth, miso soup is really special to me because there's a Tokyo Joe's not far from where my dad works, and I have a lot of fond memories of him taking me and my sister there and getting a big bowl of miso soup
