To be, it makes total sense for Bill to dislike DEH. It portrays a lot of teenage angst he can’t relate to and showcases the social media world that we know he’s not too up to date on. Or, if you wanna get depressing like me, the reason he can’t stand DEH is because he unconsciously relates to the struggle of a single parent trying to relate to a kid that doesn’t want to be around them, and it’s not something he wants to acknowledge because he’s in denial about the rift between him and Alice.

Glad someone else picked up on it. The father even saw purple and said he had wings which is the Blinky Sniggles. I have been truing to connect the old shows to the Hatchetfield universe for some time now. At least I feel I am at least not alone haha.

@@bogirostas7564Oh, I have a list. Whether it is quotes, images, allusions, I try seeing connections. In Twisted, the princess says to Jafar, "What if tomorrow doesn't come (or something like that - I am not great at exact quotes) which seemed a lot like the final song in Black Friday. Then there is everyone saying F you to Jafar and the man in a hurry in TGWDLM saying it to Tom (I believe). There is the burning down of the village in Firebringer and the burning down of the Birdhouse in Forever and Always (also a later allusion in season 2 but trying to avoid spoilers). Firebringer also alludes to smart squirrels (Peanuts) and the fact that bees can just die (although Lauren plays Zazz who says that and then plays the Hatchetfield Bee in TGWDLM). There are others as well, but many connect to Nightmare Time season 2 and I don't want to spoil things. Oh, but Bug planet is mentioned in Ani and could refer to the planet in Starship. One can argue that Bug planet may be where the meteor came from as the blue s*** kind of resembles the bug trails there and both deal with hives. Not to mention both Bug and Pincer sing of there being a big, big universe with many dimensions and unanswered questions . . . and one voice, one body to live in (sounds like TGWDLM, eh?). I will take a small break now, haha.

In a later episode, there's a group called "The Church of the Stary Children." Stary Children......Starkid.......Could it mean something?

My theory is that all the people in Watcher World with purple eyes are actually brainwashed people under the control of Blinky, like the shopper mania in Black Friday. They mentioned in Black Friday that when Tom was under Wiggly’s control he was “in drowsy town”, until Lex snapped him out of it. Not sure, but it might have been Lex in this story just after getting a job at Watcher World instead of toy zone, and she was killed because she was breaking out of Blinky’s control.

It’s probably more accurate to say that it’s my understanding of the story, they kind of confirmed that the employees are all brainwashed people when Bill saw his own eyes turning purple at the end.

Yeah that one’s my fav. I love how everyone has a different favorite tho, it means they are all good.
