Is America in Danger of God's Judgment and Wrath in 2021?

WHAT SINS MIGHT TRIGGER GOD'S RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT ON A NATION?
The biggest reasons God's wrath came on nations include:
- Idolatry (people trusting themselves and the works of their hands, worshipping things other than the Lord).
- Sexual immorality (any sexual activity outside of God's biblical design for marriage and purity).
- Lack of proper care and justice for the poor.
- Celebration and glorification of sin.
- Hatred and mockery of the word of God.
- Blasphemy against God.
- Child sacrifice (killing babies and offering them to idols, abortion is a type of child sacrifice, as well).
- Mistreating Israel.
- Greed and covetousness.
- Oppression of certain people and groups.
- Religious show.
- Corrupt religious leaders.
- Israel's rejection of the Messiah, Jesus.
- There are no righteous people remaining.
WHAT KINDS OF JUDGMENT DOES GOD BRING ON SINFUL NATIONS?
Generally, God's judgment comes in the form of one or more of the following:
- Military defeat
- Evil and/or incompetent kings/rulers
- Plagues
- Drought
- Famine
- Death from wild beasts
- Natural disasters
Eventually, God will pour out His full wrath on nations during the 7-Year Tribulation period, especially during the last half of it.
WHAT CAN WE DO TO STOP GOD'S RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT FROM FALLING ON OUR NATION?
- We can personally repent of anything God calls sin in our own lives.
- We can plead for God's forgiveness for our nation and His people, standing in the gap for them.
- We can seek to obey the Lord and cherish His Word.
- We can lead our children in righteous ways and seek to raise them to know, love, and honor the Lord.
- We can stand for God's truth and His Life-giving Word.
- We can seek to promote godly justice and set people free from oppression.
- We can share the gospel of Jesus and encourage everyone to turn from sin and turn to Jesus to be saved and transformed.
Sometimes a nation's sin is so severe that God doesn't respond to prayers for those people anymore. He withdraws His hand and allows the people to reap the consequences of their sin and desires.
Things can get so bad that the Lord says that even if Noah, Job, and Daniel were here to pray for these people, they could save only themselves by their righteousness-ie: When His judgment was about to fall on Judah for their many sins, (Ezekiel 7-9.)
WHAT CAN WE DO IF GOD'S JUDGMENT FALLS ON OUR NATION?
If the Lord decides it is time to bring His holy and righteous judgment against our nation, we can't stop Him. But we can seek to walk rightly ourselves and stand in the gap as much as possible.
- We can trust Him and continue to seek and love Him with all our hearts.
- We can invite Him to use our lives for His glory and seek to be faithful.
- We can seek to reach many who are lost and point them to hope in Jesus.
- We can be willing and available instruments in God's hands.
- We can trust God to be with us and to lead us through.
- We can remember how the Lord often removed His people before judgment fell (Noah, Lot and family) or marked them to spare them from His judgment (Ez. 9, the 144,000 during the Tribulation).
- We can be ready each day for the Lord to call us home or to return to take His Bride home in the rapture.

How to Have a Saving Relationship with Christ
A = Admit you are a sinner and you can’t be perfect and holy enough in God’s eyes to be right with Him on your own. Turn away from your sin.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Rom. 3:23
B = Believe that Jesus (God in the flesh) died on your behalf to pay the price for your sin and to give you a way to be right with God - to be forgiven. He lived the perfect life you couldn’t live. He died the death you deserve and rose from the dead in victory over sin, death, and the grave on your behalf!
“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.” Rom. 6:23
C = Confess that Jesus is your Lord - this means, Jesus is now your Master and you live your life for Him and His glory rather than for yourself. You say it out loud to others and you live it from now on. You lay down your will and your desires and follow Him, inviting Him to direct and use your life for His will.
“If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.” Rom. 10:9-10

Forgive us God for our iniquities and hold us not against our sins, who can withstand Your wrath ?

_A m e n !_ This is one of your best and most important messages, April! I would only add that the Church in the USA also needs to repent of neglect of missions/world evangelism. Remember, the Church's disobedience of *Acts 1:8* led to the persecution of *Acts 8:1,* when _finally_ the Church was "scattered" away from Jerusalem, preaching the Gospel wherever they went.

The Church in the USA has so much money, but they often spend it on themselves. So many mega-churches have magnificent buildings, basketball courts, rock-climbing walls, skate parks, video-game rooms, etc., but no emphasis on the 1000s of unreached tribes/cultures/languages! Here in the Philippines, I see many young people who _want_ to GO for Jesus, but there's so little money to train/send/sustain them in missions. Church in the USA, if you refuse to GO for Jesus to spread the Gospel, at least send your money, instead of wasting it on so much entertainment.

I shared this message with my sisters.... I pray that they will take it to heart and draw closer to God. We as Christians are called to be saints, holy ones of God, yet we all to often live like the world. God's grace is amazing but His wrath and justice will eventually fall. I'm both terrified and excited about the times. The end is near and we have work yet to do... And we will face persecution for doing that work but it will be worth it when He returns. We must remember that this earth is not our home.

It’s not just America, things are very bleak here in Australia where we are. I also had people pleading with me from somewhere in Africa I think it was desperate for help because they claimed where they were had been overcome by the prosperity gospel. We don’t have any fellowship because we couldn’t stomach what is being preached at the pulpit. We do live in those perilous times. I was praying for abundant grace for our town and God placed on me “I cannot bear iniquity” Your message is both encouraging and edifying - you are a blessing dear sister. We have been praying that God will grant many who come in HIs name repentance. God will use suffering, tribulations, infirmities to beautify and humble us and perfect our faith. God’s ways are not our ways but they yield the right results the Lord wants to accomplish in our character. May the Lord in His sovereign grace make us into beautiful pearls and diamonds fit for His glorious crown! Just like Proverbs 31 -the description of the true church - may we all labour hard, with the law of kindness on our tongues, obedient to His will, humble, merciful, contrite, trusting fully in Him and burning brightly ready for His appearing! (I don’t believe we will be raptured because the Bible says we will be caught up at the last trumpet - we are appointed to suffer which could mean tribulation but not to wrath Hallelujah!) Whatever is coming lets stand strong in the Lord and may those who are lost, fearful with no hope in this evil chaotic world see the glory of the Lord in us - a love, a hope, a peace that surpasses human understanding, and want Jesus for themselves! Sending much love and many blessings across the many many miles ((big hugs))

Keep praying; pray for anything and or anyone that Christ does not want in your life, to have it, and them removed as well. Not so keen on the WE thing as many of the churches sold out to the state (501c3 clause) before many of us were born and judgment is coming to them first (1 Peter 4:17 KJV) and also there are many who have blatantly and knowingly have chose evil and that's not WE; however yes many Christians have been lukewarm and have been in fellowship with the works of darkness (Ephesians 5: 11 KJV) so they need to sincerely call on Jesus. There is a strong remnant who have been praying for America as the enemy's timeline got kicked back some. 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 KJV

Life & Life more Abundantly - When Daniel prayed for forgiveness for Israel, he spoke in first person plural, "we," even though I am sure he hadn't personally committed many of the sins. I haven't committed every sin that the entire church or all of America has. But I have committed enough sin to need the mercy, grace, and forgiveness of Jesus. I long for us all - the church and America - to turn from everything that dishonors the Lord and return to Him with all our hearts. I pray we will all be open to any rebuke or correction the Lord may have. It may be painful, but it will be Life-giving, too. So thankful that there is a remnant who is fervently praying and seeking the Lord. That is such a joy!

Every city/nation/person that rebels against the Lord and won't repent will eventually face God's judgment. We can see what will happen to the entire world in Revelation. I long for everyone to turn from everything the Lord calls sin and turn humbly to Him, seeking forgiveness, salvation, and healing. He is still extending mercy and grace and we need Him more than we can imagine. If we turn to Him, perhaps the Lord will relent from sending disasters and we may be able to experience peace.

And This "God" waits a little long with this judgment. For example : where was this so called judment when The Holocaust happened? The world wars? How many innocent, civil people died? During thos earthquake/tsunami, during this "judgment", countless innocent people/animal would die, but yeah, you are right, just forget it!
@AprilCassidy
@AprilCassidy 2 жыл бұрын
Good afternoon, Draco19970125! Thanks for stopping by. And for your honesty and your important questions. Jesus came to die for us for two reasons. As a rescue mission. Because we were in big trouble and couldn't save ourselves. And to find His Bride. He is the only one offering to rescue us from our sin issue that is separating us from God and destroying us in every way. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6. He actually prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane to the Father to ask if there was any other way for people to be saved. And the answer was no. So we can choose to reject His offer of rescue, but there is no other offer available to cleanse us from everything we've done wrong and to prepare us to be pure enough for heaven. Those who receive Him as Savior and Lord, He calls, the Bride of Christ. We become spiritually united with Him. To receive His salvation, we enter into an eternal covenant with Him. And because He is the only God there is, He is the only one offering rescue and salvation. And He is the only one offering eternal life. We can take Him up on His offer and help or we can reject Him. But to reject Him is to reject Him and all of His gifts and provision. There is nothing good apart from Him. When we reject Jesus and His gospel, we choose separation from Him. Even though that is NOT what He wants. He wants to love and cherish us. He wants us to willingly come to Him. But He won't force His love and provision on us. He allows us to reject Him if we so choose, even though it breaks His heart. PERHAPS THIS ILLUSTRATION WILL HELP: When a young man proposes to the woman he loves, she has the right to accept or reject his proposal. If she has no choice in the matter, it is not really marriage. It is slavery. All of us understand that if she rejects his proposal of marriage, she forfeits all rights to his love, provision, care, possessions, legal rights, authority in his name, money, affection, etc… She knows that she will not live with him. She will not be involved in his wedding. She will cut ties with him and go her own way. Can you imagine a young woman refusing a man's proposal and then expecting him to financially provide for her and allow her to live in his home for the rest of her life? It would be appallingly inappropriate. Some people think that God is cruel to only offer salvation through Jesus. The deal is this: He is offering a divine marriage proposal to each of us. He is the only way. Jesus offers us the “cup of joy” that a Jewish man would offer to a prospective bride. This is the cup of the Lord’s Supper. It is a New Covenant in His blood for a divine marriage. He paid a massive bride price for us - His very life. He loves us enough to die for us. He wants us to say yes to Him and a happily-ever-after with Him in heaven forever where we will enjoy Him and know Him fully. He rejoices when we accept His love and covenant. He loves us more than we can imagine. But He will never force His love and marriage on us. We may receive His spiritual marriage proposal and drink from the cup, accepting His written marriage covenant (the gospel and New Testament) and become part of His Bride. Then we have certain obligations and responsibilities. Or we may reject Him, His cup, and His marriage covenant, forfeiting everything He wants to give us. We have free will. If we reject His divine proposal, we renounce all of His goodness, support, love, affection, provision, and heaven. We choose not to live with Him. We choose not to receive His blessings and fellowship. We will not have a right relationship with Him here or in eternity. We choose separation from Him. If we receive His divine proposal, our status in this world changes. We become His beloved. We receive His Spirit as a seal. We receive His provision and protection here. We receive an intimate one-Spirit relationship with Him and become part of the Bride of Christ. We receive all of His promises. We take on His Name. We become joint heirs with Him in heaven. We will go spend eternity with Him, sharing in His love, spiritual treasures, goodness, and paradise. May we choose wisely and receive the unimaginable love Jesus has for each of us, accepting His gracious covenant and all He has in store for those who love Him above all else. Blessings! I like the way Got Questions describes Jesus' response to the tower that fell at Siloam. It is helpful to me as I think about the subject of God's judgment: Two current events-the massacre on the temple mount and the collapse of the tower of Siloam. The same lessons are drawn from each. First, Jesus warned His audience not to assume that the victims of those tragedies had been judged for their great evil. It’s always a temptation to assign sudden, unexplainable deaths to the judgment of God in response to secret (or open) sin. Jesus says not so fast; it is a mistake to automatically attribute such tragedies to the vengeance of God. Whether it is a man-made tragedy (Pilate’s slaughter of the Galileans) or a naturally caused tragedy (the fall of the tower of Siloam), it is wrong to assume that the victims are somehow worse sinners than everyone else and thus deserved to die. The second point Jesus made concerning both events is that everyone needs to repent. Repentance is a change of mind that results in a change of action. Jesus highlights the importance of repentance twice in this passage: repent or perish, He says; turn or burn. Instead of conjecturing on the Galileans’ sin, focus on your own sin. Rather than assigning wickedness to those killed by the tower of Siloam, examine your own heart. www.gotquestions.org/tower-of-Siloam.html Blessings!

If you believe that he is being true to you and he is not in contact with her anymore, I don't really think it has to be a big deal. It is a keepsake and memory of part of his past. But I don't think it necessary means it is a problem, from what you are describing. You could choose to make it be a big deal. You could get very upset and resent him and be bitter. You could demand that he get rid of the hair clips. But all of those things would just push him away from you.
